So we've shown Thackray the door & hasn't been seen for ages presumably cos of his disruptive influences.

These GROWN MEN are well paid professional rugby league players not a bunch of primary school children who need to be told how to behave. They know that when out in public they are the face of Hull FC and shouldn't need babysitting them 24/7 to remind them of that. The 2 in question have been suspended, named and (hopefully) shamed. Others are being shown the door, I fail to see what else can be done until contracts expire or we have valid reasons to sack the rest of the trouble causers.

We have far too many average players and not enough class players to support them, Agar is not to blame because the majority of our kids just aren't good enough.

In terms of superleague quality i would say most of our team is below average, thus the poor displays week after week. Give the guy a break and really think about our playing roster, then tell me he could have done better.

He could have done better.

He could have done a HELL OF A LOT BETTER, for example:

He could have a GAME PLAN
We could learn some SET MOVES
He could have instilled PRIDE and DETERMINATION

but no, he just sat back and watchewd the squad take the pi$$ out of the fans, safe in the knowledge he was still in a job next season regardless.

I agree, when Sharp tried to sack King and they didn't allow it they've basically paved the way for the crap off the field demeanours. But it looks as though they're finally giving a coach the chance to sort it out now.

FWIW Even though Thack has been shown the door, he's always out with the guys getting p1ssed on a Friday. Seen it for weeks in the Weir.

Now although that is bad, I used to frequent a bar in Saint Helens (like the Weir) where I the majority of the Saints squad would be getting p1ssed and fighting. However, they were always winning, so it was never an issue!

exactly how i see it, his lack of game plan/set moves and no pride or passion, hs to be down to our second class coachig set up, 1st class facilities frek all else!!!

Agreed - except that professional rugby players on the kind of money some of these guys are on should not need the coach or anyone else to instil in them pride and determination; it should be there already.

Improved the basic skill level.
(Faster play the ball, faster passing,better defensive line speed- as implemented by Nathan Brown at the Giants)
