I would like him to carry on in the way he plays his off the cuff style if he ever came to Hull . We've been guilty over the years of been to regimental and predictable and a player of his ability would certainly give us an edge we've never had.

Fail to see how saints have offered £100k a year but it's more than we offered yet he would have been one of our highest paid players. The avegare wage in the squad must be around £70k for established 1st teamers

Quite apart from his obvious attitude problems, I wouldn't want to see Chase at Hull simply because I think he is incapable of playing to any structured game plan. Other coaches may be comfortable making allownaces for that, I doubt Gentle would do so.

Gentle was assistant coach at Wests Tigers, were Benji is king. Chase fits perfectly.

Any team could accomodate chase if they had a very good organising scrum half playing alongside him who would consistently run all of the palys and give chase a roaming role

How come know one now wants chase when they was page after page on rumours only 6 months ago on us signing him and how everyone rated him . 1 bad tackle later and know nobody wants or rates him anymore . He would improve us tenfold and I would take him with no hesitation . Did post last week Ellis plus cash for him but was just wishful thinking .

If you read most the post a lot of people now don't rate him , don't take it personal . I think a few people on here have way to much pull . Soon as a certain few like or dislike players other people jump in and agree . Think some are scared of having there own opinion at times . And no I don't mean you just in general .

Adam pearson really sold the vision of the club to ellis and thats why he turned saints down. Dont be suprised to see ellis named as captain next year, also the club want him to do some youth coaching.

Why would they take the captaincy off Lynch? They won't do that, there's no reason for them to he's doing a superb job.

I dont disagree with you, lynch is doing a great job. But in ellis you have a player still representing his country, has won player of the year for the past 3 seasons and is one of the best second rowers in the game today!! They will all be leaders on the pitch, the only difference is one will have a (c) next to his name

A player's skills on the pitch do not necessarily transfer into skill as a skipper. We've all previously seen a player's form take a dip when they've had the captain's armband, some players just prefer to play their game without the responsibility.

As i mentioned earlier in the rumour post, i mentioned another west tigers player to be coming with ellis, apparently tuqiri the winger isnt staying with wests next season so maybe he could be getting looked at by gentle if briscoe does croos to NRL, i hope!

I honestly wouldn't use a quota spot or a lot of money on a winger, we have gone down that route before and it hasn't worked.

He is a halfback and has a brother Bobby in the under 18's (prop) who also looks a good player.
