Not so. Someone who commits murder probably does it in their own time. Employees can be dismissed for gross misconduct away from the workplace and indeed many are.
Anyhow - it seems Hull have decided to deal with it internally. In my view it sends out the wrong message, but on the upside it’s less likely an NRL club will want him so he’ll stay in SL. |

It's very so for dismissing someone just because they've made a tool of themselves. Bringing murder into the argument ffs Kelly acted a tool it's not a hanging offence.

I guess it depends on the context.
Many professions have a nationally agreed professional framework that has to be followed at work and out of work, such as doctors, nurses, police officers, teachers......). Anyone in these professions would certainly be disciplined for the type of behaviour Kelly exhibited and likely be dismissed. |

I read quite a few, the first was a criminal conviction.
The rest were, in the main, teacher/student relationships and failure to disclose significant information when being appointed. They were all employment specific issues.

As a Rovers supporter, obviously can't stand the bloke but come on, he has had a few too many and done something stupid, not very nice but hardly a career ending mistake. Any pub, club or fast food place on a Saturday night will unfortunately be the scene of much worse. I dare say we have all done things we are not proud of when under the influence.
