I'd prefer Witt to Sammut, but would be happy with either, I could see Sammut playing hooker aswell if needed.
We should be knocking on their door with some money for one of these.
The only issue could be that we might have ot offer them more than a one year deal, saying that as we look like we need 2 halfbacks for 2012, maybe that wouldn't be a bad option.

totally agree. failing a transfer fee we could always try a player exchange aswell, perhaps washbrook or burnett |

I agree. I don't really think we've had a good return on the Lauaki investment at all. Very inconsistent and, in my humble opinion, has more or less been a waste of a quota place.

I agreeprobably best in the League but with Manu, lauaki, Tickle, Fitz, Burnett and Westerman vying for 3 places its hardly an imperative, we DESPERATELY need cover for the halves everything else is secondry IMHO. |

Paul the sensible thing is what the club are doing by not rushing into anything with so long yet to run before the start of the season, Monnas is the mutts and similar in style to jamie Lyons but he is also very expensive AND picks up a lot of niggling injuries that mean he miss a game here and a game there .
I think the club will sit on what they have till a golden egg comes along and they will before the kick off!!

sammutt was discussed in depth on Tuesday but as far as i am aware thats as far as it has gone at present..

I was chatting to Ags the other day and he said Webbo and Lasto have been coming up with new nicknames for the players ready for pre-season. Players like Tans, Whitty, Meels and Gibbsy should all benefit massively from their new nicknames this season. Beggs has had that nickname for ages tho so no improvement there unfortunately.
