No, as I said months ago, we need someone for 2012 &2013. Williams can cover them and take over in 2014.
We still don't have 7 cover this year.
Although Williams performance does explain why the club has not gone for someone like Moore.

williams is not quite ready, but nicklas perhaps is.but the fact that no SL club is in for moore perhaps tells us all what we need to know?the times i have seen moore play(admit its only on sky!!)he has looked good, but tbh,Nicklas and Williams could do a fantastic job in that league,so maybe that's the point?Moore is no better than what we have?i would like to see williams and to a lesser extent nicklas been loaned out for a month or dual registered,to see how they cut it in the championship?judging on what i saw today, williams would be a very good player, but i would prefer to see him higher up the ladder, league wise(championship, rather than championship 1).

| Been tlaking about Williams for about 3 years now as I have watched him for a quiet a while at club and school level. Got the makings of a great 7, last year he played for the reserves but was still young enough for the under 18's, no need to rush him.
Should be signed FT in the near future.

I'm with you, some people seem to want to label him the new Peter Sterling after one game against a Doncaster team also in pre-season containing players who wouldn't stand out playing for East Hull.
What I would say is that if we have identified players with SL potential surely they should be full time? I don't understand the keep them part time mentality, go full time as early as possible (16,17,1icon_cool.gif and give them the best possible chance of making the grade.

Thats it, as good as they are and as much as they can earn good money if they make it, the club have to ensure they allow them to finish studies and have a back up career if anything goes wrong.
IIRC Tom Briscoe did exactly this too

I know Union sides have built up strong links with Universities that allow their full time players to structure their studies around training full time and their playing commitments; therefore they get the best of both worlds. Leeds Carnegie, leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons definitely do this. Cardiff Blues and British lions centre Jamie Roberts is still at Medical School whilst being a full time pro too. I don't think Hull do this or have any provision for players to do this.
Even the Hull Rugby Union have an arrangement with Bishop Burton College where the "Rugby Scholars" benefit from free accomodation, free tuition fees and rigorous daily training under Tevita Vaikona. It's the scheme Laurence Pearce was on.

Agar has stated when long plays he's first receiver, does that mean if he's missing or first team plays with split halfs?
So inafect changing our game plan.

I get what your saying however today with Turner playing at 6 and offfering a bigger running threat Nicklas and Williams in particular both stepped up and were taking control as 1st reciever which is different to how they were playing for the 21's. Think the playing with split halves is a good idea for younger players as it helps them both to develop their talk more and have equal responsibility on the play calling.

As I've said in another thread, Williams was playing behind a dominant pack against a fairly poor Doncaster side, which explains why he looked better than he has in the U20's side (not that I have seen him play, but that was the concensus of opinion around me), wether he could do a job in SL you can't really tell from that game.
I was told Niklas had injured his knee, but the match report suggets nobody is injured, any ideas?
And fnally, Washbrook at 9 is not going to work.

| Tbh HF I prefer the 'Arsenal' approach.
All Hull age groups should play the same system and style, then when a player is missing another player can come in and fit in without any disruption.

lol, It does seem highly unlikely that any ex RL professional has not seen Andy Gregory play. Maybe he played for a professional Amish team and television was forbidden in his community?

FFS are you thick or something??? shall i draw you a picture to explain i never saw him play that i can remember so no i didnt see him for leeds salford or anyone else pre or post 90s , if i have not seen him play does it make any difference who he played for !! what is wrong with that , i never saw a guy play that played in a different hemisphere to that which i grew up in before the advent of sky tv etc etc etc and when i came over to the Uk mid 2000s he was long gone as a player , what is your malfunction over that and what has any of it got to do with Lee williams??
listen its boring to everyone else on here and you are clearly attacking the poster not the post so just leave it and move on ok as there is nothing more to add, i have not seen him play !!

why would it seem unlikely , maybe common place in the 80s/90s if you lived in the UK however as i wasnt born here or lived here then it seems more unlikely i have not seen him play savvy
Anyone living back home in the early 80s /90s would have seen almost no british RL what so ever as was the case in my life , nothing sinister , nothing hidden and no messages from satan if you play the record backwards just have not seen him play
i could name a lot of players back then whom you would have probably heard of but never saw play first hand or recal seeing if you see my point and lets face it when test teams travelled that he may have played in it became one thumping after another so forgive me if i dont recal one player who will have been at that time run over like the rest were by the home test team
but thats all there is to it

Not even in a test match??? Come on you make out like your in with the club an EXPRO as you put it. So that I would imagine you make my age roughly 30 odd yet you claim never to of seen Andy Gregory play who played on both sides of the hemisphere between roughly 83-95. It's like me saying I never saw mal maninga play.
Anyways this williams kid.....
