Bullock is up and down and at 32 is probably past his best, he's settled in the NW too. Hill is over the Hill and again settled in the NW.

I don't think we'll sign anyone of note, maybe a project type like Ruan but think we'll keep our options open and see what comes up during the season.

I think we'll bring someone in but the quality of the player will be questionable. Probably championship standard who will be a squad player.

Tbf , it is not a shopping list , it is a list of who is willing to join.

There is no "choice" it is who is available at the lowest cost.

I’m pretty sure that we will have actually approached a lot of the names mentioned especially if they’re contracted and shopped around like Bullock possibly Byrne etc but if they don’t want to move here or are out of our price range like you say it will eventually boil down to whoever is willing to join.

It's not just money though where Rovers are concerned. As much as I don't like it, they have three key things going for them at the moment: money, ambition and a plan.

We currently have one of those things: a plan. One that involves developing youngsters and getting them into the team in the near future. Money wise, no one really knows what's going on as yet regarding the investment so we might not be in a position to let money do the talking. Ambition wise, Myler is certainly downplaying things at the moment and whilst I think that is a good thing after the bullishness of recent years from Pearson, it's perhaps not a great sell to players.

Another difference is that Rovers had already hit the bottom of their downward slide by the time they started attracting players. I think the jury is still out on whether that is the case for us. I certainly hope we have hit rock bottom and I'm sorry to add to the doom and gloom element of it all but I don't think we're in the same position as they were at this time.

Sorry guys, it is more hope than expectation. As Bones has said, there's talk of Leeds making a move for him. Would love us to show some ambition and make him an offer too good to turn down.

It’s a no brainer really. Rovers have more pixels in their LED Screen, located on top of their second hand shipping container, just next to their portaloos. We can’t compete with that!

From what I gathered about Byrne , Wigan said they have no interest in letting go. Only way the would look at offloading anyone was if financial restraints came about.
By that, I'm guessing if they have someone a new contract and went above the cap or if a player they wanted became available.
