If someone runs straight at you and you miss the tackle, its awful and that happened alot with Hame. I dont care if its the 1st pre season game, he was the only one who dropped of alot of tackles.

Actually, while I wouldn't go as far as SS has done I [idid[/i notice Hame missing a few tackles against Rovers. Now that may have been ring-rust or not quite full fitness - and I'm certainly not going to write him off on the basis of one performance - but it has raised a slight concern with me TBH.

Fair comment I felt it happened with a few, however early days reaching match fitness etc, out of all who maybe raised a slight concern with me in this area Hame is the least of my worries in this dept.

Dont forget Hame has played 5 games in around 15 months. Those writing him off now are been way too hasty, as you say it will take a few games for him to get match fit but he will be an asset this year IMO.

Didnt move off the line either, early on 'dogs hind leg' came to mind with Hame about 5m behind the rest, though I did think he was better in his second spell. Saw enough last season to think he could go well but we may have to wait a while.

We Hav'nt played a minute of serious rugby yet and Hame is rubbish already. For me if he runs wide and plays like he did when not even half fit at Wigan last season. He'll do for me, he got caught out a couple of times against Rovers but he's bl**dy hard and a bit fiery and thats something we have lacked for years! lets wait and see! He'll ruffle a few feathers!

Really looking forward to a bit of biff this season. Watching the match tonight looking forward to seeing O'Meley vs Crabtree next week as well.

Hame will go well for us, as someone has already pointed out he is the type of player that needs games and will only get better. To write him off now would be stupid and completely wrong.
