| Quote ="Mild mannered Janitor"Calderwood had probably seen the video on the HDM site of Cockayne committing a serious assault on someone who was already prone on the floor, and didn't want to be in the same position.
You did see it wrong. Liam Watts steaming in and shoving Calderwood caused the major boil over.
Also, I find it strange that you use the word coward towards any RL player whilst plying his trade. Thats the last thing they are. But I guess you wouldn't be prepared to tell them that to their faces now would you
'"
It was Netherton, but I do agree with you.
Although Tickle did Cockayne about a second later, from the other players reactions you could tell that it was netherton on Calderwood that had brought a lot of them into it.

No I think I was right and after the Cockayne/Calderwood exchange it was Tickle that then threw the next punches at Cockayne when he clearly only had an axe to grind with Calderwood, not that it bothered Charlie as he'd have taken on the whole team given the chance. Oh and Janitor bloke I would definitely call balsawood a coward to his face. Regarding whether I could call any of your players a coward to his face, I bet none of you would dare repeat the insults aimed at Clint or Charlie to their faces either.

If I was laid on the floor unable to defend myself then I definately wouldn't be saying anything to "charlie". Doubt it would make any difference though.

| Quote ="raynor the crab"I think you'll find it was the other way round and Watts was beating the hell out of Moa! It was completely unnecassary for Cockayne to start throwing punches although a small part of me felt Calderwood deserved it because he is a coward. At this point it was merely handbags but what I felt caused it to get more severe was when another coward Danny Tickle threw some hard punches at Cockayne while he was being held back and unable to defend himself. I feel Cockayne and Tickle should get a ban although Lauki shouldn't because although he lifted Briscoe beyond the horizontal position he knew it was wrong and put him down gently.'"
Cockayne thumped while unable to defend himself, Damn, I feel sorry for him. Perhaps Tickle suffered "flashbacks", perhaps Cockayne should consider himself lucky he wasn't prone and didn't get his head stamped on.

| They've all got category B offences so generally 1 to 2 match bans according to the rules. I'd have thought that Tompkins late hit on Myler after Myler scored in the Pies/Wire game was at least as bad as if not worse than anything we saw at the KC yet that is a class A offence? Hopefully their good records will get them a warning letter and a fine instead.

I'd expect them to receive a warning with a threat of having their hair bleached and looking stupid.

Tickle doesn't have the best of records, though. Didn't he get suspended last season?

| But come on, last season??? Half the Leeds players are there week in week out with no case to answer! They should all be given warnings.
No doubt it will be maximum punishments as we've got the pies on Friday!

As they take records into account then Cockayne should cop a ban too if Danny does.
Maybe Sam and Watts will get off with a fine.

The only clear policy is that if you play for Leeds or Saints you won't get a ban

Will be VERY interesting now. Lets see if the committee are going to be fair. I thought Tomkins was worse than Tickle's punch by way of comparison. Not sure about Sam
If the committee ban them both I suspect a cricket score on Friday, but I thought we'd been punished enough for Thackraygate

| [iHull KR centre Ben Cockayne and Hull FC second rower Danny Tickle have both been banned for their part in the brawl that erupted in last week's Hull derby.
They were among four players summoned to appear before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee after fighting broke out during Hull's stormy 20-16 victory at the KC Stadium.
Cockayne, who was sin-binned at the time, was handed a two-match ban and a £300 fine while Tickle was suspended for one match and fined £300.
Forwards Liam Watts (Hull KR) and Sam Moa (Hull) were also found guilty of fighting but avoided suspensions. Watts was fined £500 and Moa was ordered to pay £300.
Hull full-back Jordan Tansey and Hull KR second rower Jason Netherton were yesterday issued with cautions for their part in the melee.

| So on Friday there's no Long, Fitz, O'Meley, Calders, Whiting or Tickle.
Serously up against it. Hall will be kicking although that may be immaterial...
