The thing is, if your saying the players are still good enough, then they should be good enough to bt said sides without a coach, if they're not playing for the coach/es then they're not playing for the FANS, which is a disgrace,

The coach sets the tactics for the opposition and motivates the players as well as bringing them together and creating team spirit etc. If the players just went out there and played we would probably be better than we are currently but not very good at all.

Agar worked under Kear and P Sharp .
He has been part of 2 failed Coaching set ups. Your not telling me he sat and said nothing for those years!
Richard Agar is a good assistant , what has now been shown is that he is out of his depth as a number 1.
The Boards decision to give him a 2 year deal was another mistake. They should of given him a one year deal.
Look at Warrington , they gave Lowes a chance and have now demoted him .
The worrying thing is that British Coaches like Agar seem to be struggling.
Kear is doing well at Wakey . McDermott at Quins. Otherwise all the top Clubs have an Aussie.
When P Sharp was sacked the Board should have gone for a top proven Coach for this year. Agar could have kept the seat warm for the rest of 2008.
Look at what Huddersfield did!
It brings it home when Clubs like Wakefield, Huddersfield and Castleford or overtaking us on the pitch !

When we won our first 5 it was remarkable how Huddersfieldesque we looked in doing it.

How long would it be though before Smith chucked it and went back to Aus? Two seasons? We need stability.

Sad to say it but yes I would rather see us embarrassed and humiliated at Salford which surely must force the club's hand.

Ultimately though, nothing will change while season passes are selling like hot cakes and shirts are flying out of the shops. The only thing JR and KH care about is the bottom line, so the only thing that will force them to take notice is a steep decline in pass sales, shirt sales and gate receipts.

If Agar goes, which will be after a Salford victory, Sharp will be in charge. Fact.

I think it's pretty much inevitable he'll be the one to take over no matter when Agar leaves so the quicker he's in charge, the quicker he's sacked

I'm ashamed to say that i was a tad reserved after our defeat last night in hope that Agar and Sharp were gonners this morning...he's hoping for a Salford victory next week!

I don't see how Jon Sharp is the problem, as he wasn't here when we played poor rugby under John Kear, poor rugby infact to be perfectly honest the exact same crap we played under Peter Sharp.

For me we have changed the coach 3 times in recent years and we still are unable to move the ball about well, run with players in support, run angles, use dummy runners, have a decent kicking game, cut out opposition offloads etc etc etc.

This season for me is simply the same sh*t but just a different season and until the board have the guts and the foresight to get rid of the whole of the senior coaches and pay for a quality coach and set up we will continue to fall behind the rest of SL instead of moving forward.

Jon Sharp shouldn't have been brought to the club as I don't see what he could have offered to improve an failing side. That said he is not the reason we are poor as we are still making the same mistakes on the pitch and have no attacking flair, nouse ideas call it waht you want but going forward is nigh on impossible with the game plan and tactics used over the last few seasons (if we ever have any).

why dont we bring in catlefords coach,he has don well with their average players ,maybe he will do well with ours.

why would he want to leave a side with a winning mentality.

why wouldnt matterson want to come to hull,big club just needs shaking up,i dont think matterson will be able to take cass any further than were they are now.

But if you're hinting at the players having no respect for Agar, that's again his issue (and should possibly beg the question as to why they don't). If Sharp is riding roughshod over him he needs to grow a pair and take charge of the job of head coach, it is his job after all.

Rubbish, Hudds team last season played far better rugby than we are.

Wire acted quickly to rectify the Lowes situation but I doubt we will do the same. Even if Agar goes we will be left with JS.

We need to get shut of both and bring in a fresh coaching set up but it is just not going to happen.
