maybe start a 'WE WANT MOORE' thread.......surely Richard Agar has a peep on here now and again. certainly seems to be a lot of fans behind it, cant really understand why the club have not made a move already unless they have a target they are awaiting on first.

If he does, he's either certifiably insane or EXPRO. Maybe they're not mutually exclusive.

Both would mean releasing one of Lauaki, Moa, O'Meley and Fitzgibbon - all 6 would be non-fed.

Out of the two I'd prefer to have Chase over Sammut. Think he's a better player and more in the style of what we need.
Chase + Moore would be great, but would be really happy to get Chase alone.

Would be happy with either of themn but can't see either signing for us ..

Chase and Moore is potentially a brilliant halfback pairing.
If you offered me only one of the three, i would probably take Moore before Sammut.

does any one think that Richard Agar is hoping that we have a youngster who can fill the role because he has given the youth chances in the past , if they are good enough they are old enough .What was the ages of Horne and Cookie when they played first team

Last year, during a three month period and with very limited funds, Brian Noble managed to sign, Witt, Hanbury and Sammut. How hard can it be to sign a decent half back. It's not as if your short of cash and you do have a fabulous stadium.

maybe having a coach who led a team to numerous superleague titles, world club champions has more pulling power than a coach who has won feck all!

If that is the case he obviously does not rate our youngsters very much. Only played fringe players when no other options available and then proceeded to play them out of position.

I was thinking about this last night. Agar does like to give youth a chance with the likes of Lyne, Briscoe, Houghton and Burnett to name just 4. (someone will tell me that 3 of them made their debut before Agar took over but Agar was instrumental in their signings and development)

Anyway, the bit i was thinking about was Danny Nicklas and his game time last year. On reflection it would have been better for the club to see Danny play a couple of games at 6 in a team defeated and playing poorly than moving Berro there or playing Washy there... in a team defeated and playing poorly. If anything i'd like to see Agar give youth a bigger change in our core positions.

Would have got a couple of games at 6 towards the end of the season but got injured.

Hopfully he will get a few games next season at halfback to see what he can do.

Not sure end of the season would have been the right time when it matters more. I guess i was meaning mid-season more when we shuffled the deck and still lost. Hopefully if Nicklas is a year more advanced he will get opportunities. He could well get the nod for the Rovers game.

He should be more advanced as he is FT this season, wasn't last year.

Be interesting to see how he goes I have watched him since he was 12, I also watched Lee Williams from the same age and always looked to have more potential than Danny ( although they played at different ages).

Williams name was discussed a lot on here when we signed Long with a view that people hoped Long would mentor him. Not heard much of Williams since though.

He is a year younger that Nicklas so may go FT next year, last season Hull FCTV was great showing highlights of the youth teams, shame it stopped hopefully they will start and continue it this year.

Also be good if the club updated the website about the future stars.

I agree entirely. The same people spouting the stuff about there being no halfbacks around, are the same people that call Noble a poor option as coach! There are lots available, it's just having the vision to sign the right ones! Witt, Hanbury and Sammut would have signed for any club in the Super League if approached with the same offer Crusaders gave them.

Would the cash we have used on transfer fees over the last few seasons been better spent on trying to attract a top coach to the club?
Like you say other clubs dont appear to have the same problems we do.
Do we not have the right contacts?
Do we have poor scouting?
Is it just purely down to RA not having the pulling power?

This is purely my opinion but 2012 is going to be a massive year for recruitment and decision making, is RA the right man for that, personelly i think not.
