As cover, maybe, but not my first choice, it's time we invested in our backs a little more, we pay Horne a lot more than his worth. He's rarely been a game changer (I said rarely, not never, just in case people's knees are jerking)

Also of concern must be some issue with Orr settling, how many clubs has he been at?

Would be happy with that TBH, can cover 6,7 & 9. But would he want to come as cover at his age? Saying that, he'd still probably get 15-20 starts.

Long is one of the best scrum halves this country has ever produced and Fitzgibbon is a solid rep player who would still have a genuine shot of making the current NSW setup if he was still plying his trade in the NRL. I would continue to be delighted all the time Hull FC are able to attract players of this calibre, regardless of their age.

The similarities between Danny Orr and the two above player’s end once you have identified they are all in the same age bracket.

For what it is worth my belief is that DO is still an extremely fit and capeable player as are many other players of his age in the SL sheds!!
why does age define most conversations these days or shall we say that a certain Oz Test and SOO captain is past it too??

I’m sure MrPhilb believes that he is too old and past his best. However, I imagine that would have been another story had he signed for the dobbins when they were allegedly after him.

There was a rumour in Oz a little while back that HKR had discussed terms for him just to say that he was interested but not ever to sign to "big up" the rep of HKR as a club in OZ to attract other names in the NRL as such
