It's quite sad but I honestly don't care whether Long plays or doesn't. I'm more looking forward to watching Wigan in the WCC than I am to watching Hull's next game, that's how low i am with Hull right now.

I don't want him to play injured but I don't believe he is. I think he has a knock but he will know if he can play or not. I trust him to make the right decision. Players are hardly ever 100% fit everytime they play.

Whose decision is it? Is Long so valuable to the team that his name is a certainty on the team sheet? Shouldn't the coach decide whether or not Long is fit, or indeed worthy to play?

Long has limped around for a season and a bit, I bet no youngster coming in to the squad would get that privilege.

I think Longy is experienced enough to know if he is alright to play or not. He has big things to prove at this club and wants to show what he can do at every opportunity.

he wont be playing, rather see Obst play anyway, least he looks interested.

I would tend to agree but if Horne isn't fit, a turner and obst partnership doesn't fill me with much confidence, not that I have much anyway.

If Horne is ready he should be playing in the 20s to gain match fitness, and earn his shirt

but Horne is the (I only pass one way and can't kick) messiah......

We did this to Horne last time, rush him back, only back with intensive training this week. Injured again soon i reckon!! Play him in the reserves, get his confidence up

Although the latter wouldn't be difficult right now.

He can kick - his short and medium kicks are actually pretty good. And his passing isn't as bad as is sometimes made out.

Can't help but feel that naming him in the squad is a bad idea though. Should have more recovery/training time IMO and maybe a couple of run outs in the 20s.

TBF Kosh I do not think Turner is doing too bad, and I fail to see how a player returning straight from long term injury will perform any better, plus other players like Moa etc have to go through the under 20s after injury, madness

Turner isn't doing too badly but basically looks like a poor man's version of Horne in form. No more creativity certainly.

And if you look above I agree about rushing Horne back.
