Off-field issues I completely agree with you but as long as they are punished for any on-field misdemeanors I don't see the problem. I haven't seen the hit everyone keeps going on about but fans of other clubs were claiming Moa was a thug after his hit on Ranaldi and presumably wouldn't want to sign said thug but we'd be gutted to lose him.

He has his off-field issues, too. Broke a guy's jaw, would you believe?



Moa's hit was nothing like Chase's. Chase used the forearm/elbow and deliberately swung it into his opponent's face. I don't care how good he is, I don't want that sort of player in a Hull shirt.

Wasn't Manu arrested in Australia for putting someone in hospital with serious head injuries after a bar fight?

I can't say that I've seen a thuggish side to Chases game particularly (again haven't seen this incident) so if it was an isolated loss of cool that could happen to anyone. I'll agree he can be niggly and petulant at times but I have no real problem with that.

Chase woul be a brilliant signing for us and would be great to finally have a quality stand off.

One thing though if we we're to sign him is, Cas let him play 'off the cuff' rugby and he does his own thing due to his flair and style. But in a team who doesn't really play 'off the cuff' would he be able to stick to a more structured gameplan?

It's fine when he sees an opportunity to go for it aslong as he knows there is still a gameplan and another 12 players who will be sticking to it.

Apart from that he would be a tremendous signing for Hull.

Imo if we are targeting English based players, we should look no further than tempting Chase. Would love either him or Finch but Chase just edges it due to his age and surely he would be off quota or whatever (lost with all this quota, non fed etc milarky) seeing as he played for England

On monday morning Manu had a meeting with peter gentle saying he felt he has made a mistake as he wants to stay at hull. Peter told him that the money saints have offered him (£300,000!!) was to good to turn down and he feels willie has the three years in him so make the most of it. The money hull offered is now ben used to try and sign a couple of players from the bulls, and I dont mean crooks
