He's just signed a new 2 year deal with his current club. The poster who linked us with him also stated we'd signed Eamon O'Carrol so I'm rather pleased that rumour was innacurate.

I'm not saying he definitely wouldn't have longer in him, just that it's a hell of a risk to pay a transfer fee. If he was out of contract, great, but to pay a premium for him and as a statement of intent it's questionable. In fact you make the point yourself about Bradford not turning down the money because of his age.

Also, Price & Civoniceva are among the exceptions rather than the rule, normally forwards seem to retire around 33/34, and we saw with Cusack what a waste of a place they can be when they carry on too long. The very fact that he carries that Bradford pack could well be a factor that ensures he is one of those who finishes earlier.
