This may be true but it would pass it off as nonsense because NRL clubs don't pay transfer fees, so I couldn't see Castleford choose to sell Chase to them instead of us. Would just see it as the visa has come through and the rumour that the deal is stalled with Castleford being the problem is true and they're trying to get a bit more money so have come out with this to try and scare us in to paying more otherwise he would mention the name of the club as it's no secret who the super league club are.

Know her through the police force, she's a community officer, or was up until 18 months ago.

The rumours about Chase getting his visa seem to have been growing in recent weeks, and there seem to be less visitors to this board telling us otherwise. Like FitzieGibbon, I do wonder if it is true that it is now about Cas wanting more money, perhaps to cover the wages they've had to pay out since deadline day that they wouldn't have had to if it had been sorted then.

From police officers I've known and the stories they've told, that's a pretty vague answer. My impression is that the police force have a hefty influence on the 'getting involved with people at work' statistics.

Either way, I think its funny that all those salivating over Chase's signature are now experiencing a feeling akin to having their Christmas toys taken back to the shop on Boxing Day.

If he's not coming then whoever is signed at 7 is never going to be as good and therefore will have a lot to live up to, for no fault of his own!

Whats even funnier is that the club could be putting out the Chase hints and rumours to boost pass sales. Now that's marketing.

Still think the overwhelming fact is that FC laid a clear and defined deadline for rangi to get his shiite in order or they would go elsewhere and we have gone well past that deadline and nothing else has been said which to me is deafening silence over the fact he is now in B&W IMO and the club rightly so are just waiting for the end of the normal season to come for Cas and then reveal he is the new messiah (even though hes a very naughty boy)

Never actually allowed myself to believe we'd get chase so if we do it's a massive bonus. seymour and holdsworth would be much better than we've had this year anyway
