Utterly classless from him. Needs to turn his team around before he gobs off about refs.

| We play a different game to Cas AND the performance by them was well below par, our forwards are still a match for Saints IF they are fit and healthy, it's whether we can put together a performance.
The question I posed still stands, do we play the squad players and let them have a bash at trying to pull off a shock or do we risk bringing back players from injury too early, not up to full match fitness and risk them getting injured (again) with a likely longer layoff effecting chances at the back end of the league, and indeed maybe not being able to perform at the level the squad player could due to the match fitness/still not fully recovered from injury?
Of course you go out to win the game but as with games throughout the season balancing when you bring back players even if they are an important part of the team has to be measured on the long term effects of the team overall as well as the health of the individual themselves.
Do we have a chance without Kelly and Sneyd + others, absolutely, there's always a chance of winning against the odds, do we bring players back not fully fit/not fully recovered, IMHO no we don't. There's a few weeks to go in any case and anything can happen between now and then.

No, there are nine days.
There's no chance for Abdull, Bowden, Sneyd, Griffin, Talanoa and Tuimavave of course. Andy Last said that Kelly was possibly two weeks away so he's the only one who could potentially be 'risked' but even that looks unlikely.
Faraimo and Taylor will return next weekend.

| Scott Taylor was a guest on Danny Baker's show on 5 Live this morning and mentioned he hopes to be back next week. Turgut put a gym session photo on Instagram this morning of him after training with Faraimo, Carlos, Kelly, Downs, Litten.

So do I. I think it has always been the plan to have him ready for this one.
We are big underdogs whatever, but with Faraimo, Taylor and Kelly playing we at least have a shot imo.

10/1 to win the Cup.
We should be 10/1 just to win the quarter final game.

Would expect 3/1 ish for Sunday. 12 or 14 handicap. Depends on squads though. If Kelly plays it might be a fraction shorter.

Could be right but we were a fraction bigger than 4/1 in places to beat Warrington on Friday and Saints are loads better than them.
Should be 5's minimum.

Maybe. But with our recent cup record, Faraimo back and Taylor expected back I would be surprised.

Which was exactly the point of the question I posed, he [icould[/i play, but whether it benefits the club or indeed the player individually is another matter altogether. Losing Kelly for the rest of the season over him breaking down mid game and not up to par would be tantamount to tactical naivety.
Sure IF and that's a very big if, he plays and we pull off a win people will say it was the right move but in all honesty playing players when it's not just a risk in the sense of how they go but also their individual well being. What if a player gets an injury that puts them out for 3/6/9/12 months or even one that ends a career all on coming back too soon? The risk is simply not worth it IMHO as I've said.

It depends how much value we are putting on the cup I guess.
I would give him as long as possible, but if they have doubts then don't take the chance.
If he can't play though I have no idea how we will line up with Harris and Sanderson cup tied, and if Miloudi gets a ban (don't think he will, but it's possible) we are really stuck. Litten in the halves maybe?

| So. Miloudi has no case to answer, which helps.
If Kelly does play can line up with:
Shaul
Miloudi
Scott
Logan
Faraimo
Connor
Kelly
Which actually isn't too bad.
If Kelly doesn't make it then the choices become a bit more tricky. Do you shift Miloudi to 6 and ask Yeaman to put his hand up again, or play Hadley at centre again? Do you play one of Westerman, Washbrook or Hadley at 6? Do you get Litten involved? He played SH for England Academy but we seem to see him as an out and out hooker.

| Kelly be ready for Wigan, I wouldn't risk Connor if any doubt don't want to lose him for longer.
Shaul
Faraimo
Scott
Hadley
Logan
Miloudi
Litten or Connor

| Would rather have Sanderson on the wing with Logan centre than play Hadley who would be far more effective elsewhere. Putting Hadley there is suicide, however it's better than putting Yeaman there which IF it did happen would be another slap in the face for the younger players and simply another tactical error in judgment by Radford. Instead of potentially putting Sanderson in on debut against the top team he could have had a couple of games already with Miloudi being tried out at 6 a few times but that isn't the case.
As it happens I thought Harris was well below par against Warrington and a bit overawed/lost his way somewhat at times, so not such a bad thing against Saints that he's not playing as I reckon he's not ready for such a big occasion just yet.
Whatever team we put out we are always in with a shout, I simply don't want players risked for the sake of getting a few points closer in the match at potentially losing them for even more games in the league. If there's even a slight doubt, and even if that means we give a debut to a player, I'd rather go that route.

And that is exactly why Radford asked Yeaman to help the team out by playing because as good as the young players are you still need a degree of experience out on the field to help guide the young players through the 80mins. To have one or two come in to a settled first team is one thing but to have a fringe side out with Shaul as the only recognised experienced back plus missing the experienced half backs putting too many young players would do more harm to them as players.
Whilst they are promising youngsters they still lack experience at this level and it would be wrong to put them out there without sufficient experience alongside them.
I trust the coaching team to do the right thing by the young players as they have done from day.
