Yes he did. Had an almost identical start at Rovers. Walked off with all the player of the season awards on his first year. Was a shoe in for the dream team till he did his knee in June/July. Then he went off the rails.
A fantastic player who can do things others only dream of but has failed to maintain it at any club so far.

Kelly is a real talent, does things others simply can't. Think we should probably assume he's going home at the end of the season so enjoy it whilst it lasts - risk of course with a deal in the bag for next year in NRL he maybe lacks commitment for the rest of this. It is what it is. Difficulty will be replacing him with the same quality, even if marquee option is available financewise. Look how other teams have struggled, quality halves like gold dust.

Strong as an ox very quick off the mark and maintains his pace better than most, great vision, all the passes, brave as you get and tries to tackle everything, decent kicking game. Intellect and discipline are his downfall otherwise could have been up their with the best of his generation.
He'll have a game in which he scores 2 length of the field tries at some point this year.

Half backs are pretty scarce in the game so could be difficult. Could maybe play Connor or Abdul there and use the cap for an impact forward and/or interchange hooker.

After watching Abdul this season he's a loose forward all day long he's playing very well
