I'm glad you put that up, because we have learnt two things,
From what the ref saw he was right to sin bin both players
Mcguire was lucky not to get sin-binned earlier as the ref spoke to him 5/6 times during the match.
Most Hull fans agree that Sneyd deserves a ban and the grade the RFL have given him is fair IMO (Should be 3 matches based on the Elima one last year)
What annoyed me and other Hull fans is Mcdermott claiming he had broken it, without any evidence, which causes a storm with media and fans and the Leeds fans claiming Sneyd should be banned for 10-12 games, when he doesn't deserve that.

Personally I'd put Abdul there. Played well on Sunday and has got a massive kick on him.

Hicks says they have looked at it and identified 2 twists. So might well give more than 5 games. It's a guide not a limit. I recon he will get 7 or 8 games if they have identifed 2 attempts.

| If he gets 7-8 games I'll be amazed. 3 game ban no more, it was stupid, heat of the moment and all that. Watch it in slow motion and it looks miles worst than it was like everything else does.

Largely not Sneyd's fault IMO, he's just the latest victim in the FC scrum half shirt. For the run of games where we consistently upped our option runners, support play and ptb speed he looked exactly what we need, it's not coincidence. Unfortunately if we now get back to that on Friday he probably won't be available to reap the benefit.

That's unlikely as the grade he is up for is maximum 5 matches and he hasn't been cited for two separate incidents.

I'd be amazed if he got more than 3, they usually take previous into consideration and he's not been up for this kind of thing before. The thing that is a surprise is if Hicks says he saw 2 twists then why that would add intent which on first view doesn't seem to there, as has been said more a clumsy attempt to slow it down in the heat of the moment

| If Elima got 4, who has a much worst record than Sneyd and Mcguire isn't as badly injured as first thought it should be 3.
I'd take that as he would be back for the last 3 games of the season, we still should still have enough to beat Wakey both home and away if we play near our potential.

I've never really understood why the injury should matter, is a cannonball that smashes a knee any worse than one that doesn't, does Mcguires final prognosis really make the tackle any better or worse thats just the luck / bad luck factor. Its all a matter of possible consequences and intent. Hence why he's up on a 3-5 not a 4-8 I would assume.

Agree with that. Hopefully the panel will too. It was a bad one but the inflaming of the situation isn't helping a fair assessment. Minimum ban will do me.
On the other hand it appears to be open season on kicking FC players in the head. "Accidental" and "minimal contact" being the way round it (even though these would appear to have Grade B and up guidelines)
Kicks
B-D Kicks opponent – light contact
(B-D Intentionally stands on)
D-E Trampling

It's his kicking game that has disappointed me. Take the up and under that led to his ban - not a good one. And there have been many grubbers he has put in that his team mates had no idea were going to be kicked where they were. That shows a lack of organisation and communication by him.
I like the player and still think he will be the answer to our medium term half back requirement. But he needs to be more consistent particularly with his kicking and he needs to commit defenders a little more than he does at times. That doesn't make him a 'victim' as you somewhat bizarrely put it. It just means he needs to improve as do many other of our players.

He didn't claim it was broken, he said it might be broken but he wasn't sure. Considering you weren't in the Leeds dressing room afterwards I'm not sure how people can say he had no evidence to believe it MIGHT be broken.
Quite frankly it's not his job to bite his tongue in the interview for Sneyd's benefit.

Agree about the kicking game.
The committing defenders is part of what I mean. His running game has been very hit and miss, as has been several half's before him. IMO part of that is because a) we don't commit enough runners in support often enough, so defenders don't have much of a decision to make, and then when they do commit there are no viable options for him so he's caught in possession, and b) our ptb speed is usually not quick enough, so he does not have the benefit of running at a scrambling defence. Another area I'd highlight because of these factors is his long passing. Several times this season we have had the second row and centre almost stationery near opposition defenders with the winger with open space in front of him. We've then tried the long ball over the top which has often been misjudged.
I don't mean victim in the sense that he is not at all at fault, I mean he is a victim of the Hull FC situation where we make it harder for our halfbacks than it should be. Chances are still there, but there is increased pressure on the halfbacks to execute almost perfectly nearly all the time. It's why it's so noticeable when they have even a slight off day IMO. It's like we need our halves to play at 95% of their ability every week, whereas some other teams' can get away with 80% sometimes and still get the job done.

How do you get to that conclusion? A lot of Hull fans have really shown the club up over the past few days. Most of you seem to acknowledge Sneyd did wrong without been malicious, which I agree with.
However there seems to be a mental challenge whenever any slightly positive news comes about regarding McGuires actual injury! This comment is a prime example! Somehow you've come to the conclusion McGuire has nothing wrong with him and never had been??
