| Radford is going nowhere, you can thank Kosh, Hessle Roader and 1865 and their buddies for that. Mediocrity (at best) is acceptable.

Well its very good of you to think that I and other fans have a say in who loses or keeps their job. Had you taken the time to do some research you would find that I didn't want Gentle to go but was prepared to give Radford a chance. Nowhere have I said that he should be kept on even if he's a failure (which he appears to be). Get back in your kennel!!

| Radfords wins as coach:
Catalan x 2
Huddersfield x 2
London x 2
Salford
Bradford
Widnes
Rovers
Leeds
Saints
The Leeds and Rovers games were dead rubber, which leaves only the Saints, Huddersfield and Catalan wins as wins against regular playoff contenders.

| Quote ="FaithfulCott"Shocking record.
Players are too one dimensional. What on earth is going on in the training? (Apart from then working hard obviously ha). It's the same setup play after play. The forwards don't seem to make any yards either.
How are there so many injuries now. This never happend 10 years ago or when we were at the boulevard.'"
I try really hard to shy away from getting involved in all this after game stuff because at present all I feel is, for want of a better word blo*dy heartbroken! for the last 3 seasons we have got progressively worse and that is a trend that shows no sign of being reversed.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I really do have to question what games some people go to. There was so much wrong with our performance and at times our demeanour towards Castleford last night which just confirms that already this season we are cruising to disaster and will I think, struggle to avoid the drop, but the one bright spot last night after the amazing turn out of FC fans had to be the work and graft and the yardage our forwards made. I haven't got the stats yet but I bet we made a lot more than Cas did.

Pete...
Our club is heading towards oblivion, we need an experienced coach now to halt this slide.
The effort is there to see, Wigan & Warrington have conceded more points than us,but thats where the comparison ends...
Brian Smith intimated 2 months ago, if offered the Hull FC job, he would return.. but with the policy of 'streamlining of staff' - maybe he would change his mind..
Next month, is do or die, We play Wakefield & Widnes, anything less than a win, could send us spiralling into a descent of terminal disaster.

It's not an exact science but we made 1394m from 196 carries for an average gain of 7.2m and cas made 1262m from 176 carries for an avergae gain of 7.2m.

| Easiest way would be to bring in a director of rugby, be in Smith, Noble or Sheens, would mean Pearson wouldn't have to sack Radford and would have some help. I honestly believe bringing this type of experienced coach in to help will improve us 10/20% and see us start to win some of these close games.

The stats show our forwards did better then the Cas pack and there were some good performances.I still cannot understand why people knock Westerman ? clearly last night he was not right and received treatment almost every break in the game.I have to agree despite all the effort shown we lacked in so many ways. For me the players are in fear of losing,we panic lose composure really quick. We are near yet so far away and I dont think it takes a lot to put it right and surely Radford and the players know what is not going right,I know many hate Radford but if every man and his dog cans see whats going wrong then radford and many of the experienced players know as well so why is it not getting fixed? With all the calls for Pearson out i think the future of our great Club is in danger. If i was Pearson reading these what are IMO way out of order comments I would be off,it has cost him money and with no chance of him getting it back I would cut my losses and say...BYE. There are not many out there who take it on what with Allams crusade to get shut of FC gathering pace.We should be careful what you wish for.

According to our Head Coach, "if we dont make the metres we wont score.."
but we did last night, and still didnt look like scoring.
Then vs Wigan:
"We scored 3 try's from 5 sets, when in Wigan's half.,so I'm happy with those stats" - even one was from a dropped kick..
Thats the mentality from our Head Coach..

just better execution in attack, perfectly fixable...

As has been said, he had a Thackray/Fozzard size bandage on his leg, so clearly wasn't right. More concerning for me is that he's almost playing as a third prop, driving it in and then playing the ball. With 13 on his back I expect a lot more from him

It does seem strange that after his best year for us playing a role more suited to him and him getting picked for England, we've decided to go back to what didn't get the best out of him before.

Playing unfit players is a recipe for disaster, especially when it's just a regular league game surely a player from the youth team could have stepped up to play 13, or even just play a 3rd prop.

It's like winding back 2 seasons, that. And exactly the mantle Westerman had thought he'd cast off after Gentle left.

Said this a couple of weeks ago, will post it again to save re-writing the same thing:
Quote ="WormInHand"Given that Radford has been given a public guarantee (what possessed Pearson to do this - crazy in any industry to give such a carte blanche with shoring scaffolding, never mind in a sporting club?) the best we can hope for is an additional recruit to work with him.
Who would Radford work with? Normally I'd have Noble low on my wish list but given that Noble was Radford's coach at Bradford during the glory years of all three may mean this combination could work.
Presumably Radford respects him and resonds to him. Could Noble in fact be the only person who could slot in without creating a tsunami of resentment? We don't want a split camp as what Radford himself appeared to create under Gentle ( just my interpretation of what I saw, this last bit).
Quote ="mosher"There is no way Noble will come in, it would just undermine Radford.'"
Surely anyone would - sort of thought Noble [icould[/i be the exception given that he coached Radford during his most successful years. A thought more in hope than belief - never been a massive Noble fan.
So who? Or is the only way a complete Radford replacement - which Pearson appears to have ruled out?

I think that's harsh. Under Pearson, we're getting more right than wrong. Off the field. On the pitch, we're terrible.
Pearson has invested, no doubt, but the product on matchday is letting him down.
