Took some doing but we've certainly outdone you on that one.

Well, I guess that answers that question. Thankfully, we didn't fall to the ultimate ignominy. It sounds a bit hit and miss at times (probably down to a lack of confidence as much as anything else) but we avoided the potential banana skin and ran a few tries in. After recent weeks I don't think any of us are too fussy about how a win comes our way.

I will stand by my original point though. We've come a long way during the past 365 days. Unfortunately it's been in the wrong direction. The period since 31st May 2013 has been thoroughly depressing and, quite frankly, the next 365 days are not exactly filling me with a great deal of hope.

As a club, we have some serious issues to address if we have designs on being anything other than a mid table side who once every five years have a decent run in the Cup.

If we can have a second half of the season rally and finish 7th, it would a step back from last year, however, given our season so far, I would see that as encouraging. Also our likely playoff opponent would be Cas away, which we are more than capable of winning.

7th seems a long way away, but if we can somehow win our next 3 it would look alot closer.
