Danny Nicklas???

I'd go with Whiting personally, not sure if it would work mind.

After his tweets, I would be very suprised if he played for Hull FC again.
Apart from that , he is c**p anyway.

I don't think Nicklas is "crap" as stated by some. And at the beginning of last season he was given the shirt against Warrington in a decent performance. However, sadly his game didn't develop as we all would have liked and later performances found his defensive positioning was something he needed to work on. I'm sure his progress will be well monitored at York but he needs to step up soon if he's to get back into Super League. I think he's feeling a bit hacked off too with how things have gone and his Twitter snipe was a lashing out at the club, which will also will have been noted and not to his advantage. But if he knuckles down, works hard, and improves his deficiencies his chance may yet come. I hope so, but for the moment I think he's forced himself out by his attitude even more than his performances.

He only got a couple of chances and seems to be doing ok at Cas. Compare him to our stand in half now, oh we havent got one

everytime he did get a chance he did well i remember he kicked a 40-20 our 1st one in a long time and the kc was on there feet lol
his most notable performance was against the dobbins he was quality and kicked them to death his only bad point was he could not shift his weight and still has not really
good with the boot but he was not very good with ball in hand for a half back but gentle could of changed that with abit of time and effort but no one seemed like they wanted too try and give him a chance

I heard the real issue was that he didn't train well and along with O'Carroll just messed about all the times, not the kind of professional you want at the club. He's hardly set the world alight at Cas either.

Ellis was rubbish, had one good game were he kicked great, apart that his kicking was no better than anyone else.

Add to this he was unfit, couldnt pass and was a poor defender.

Anyone who thinks we have made a mistake in letting him go, needs to watch another sport.

On topic, if DJ is out for a few weeks, idclook for a loan signing, like Gaskell, o Brien or Powell.

Going with what we have for the next few weeks would be a mistake mistake by gentle.

Not that there's any real proof that we have attacking structures, but the problem with a loan and a short term one at that is that the player won't have time to integrate into those structures. Maybe somebody like a Westerman or Whiting, who already know the set plays is a better option. Problem there is both have bulked up and aren't really suited to the role anymore.

I know what he did on twitter was wrong but i would say you get out there then and show us what you can do if you think your better.

Rumours of a suspension after the Twitter incident but no official comments. Still at York so maybe any suspension means he can't be recalled during this period. Think the club need to clarify their position here as to not recall him is otherwise incomprehensible at this time.

I don't find the idea of not recalling a championship standard player all that incomprehensible TBH.

If we don't go for Nicklas I'd go with Whiting. Westys been our best back rower this season so moving him is daft, although I'd give him extra responsibility and Heremaia isn't a 7 in a month of Sundays.

I was told the other day Nicklas is injured, due to yorks match at Donny being called off i can't find anything as to whether its true or not as I can't find the team selection
