think seymour is ok, would be nice to have a new stand off for next year to go with him, looking at westerman i think he could be a very good captain

Seymour been good for us, on Saturday he scored a good try and set up two more with excellent kicks.

Horne is steady but not quiet good enough anymore at stand off (If he will be any better at FB who knows), put a good stand off with Seymour and he will improve massively.

Lets be honest if we had won on Saturday the negativity on certain players would not be happening.

He had his best game i'd say and is getting better all the time. His passing and kicking were very good and he just needs the right partner now.

He often stands first receiver, and as the majority of our tries are scored outwide he won't benefit much from that stat. However he moves the ball very well in our to give our outside backs more chance. I'm really impressed with him, a brilliant defender too which is an outstanding asset in his position.

What more do people want?

Been good for us so far. Solid if unspectacular start, improving each week and beginning to stamp his authority on the team. Everything we did good on Saturday went through him.
People expect far too much IMO, he's still settling in. Finch was average last year and now he's settled is probably the best half in the comp. If he settles and adapts to SL he's more than capable of being the best 7 in this league.

The tryscoring Assist stat is a croc of s**t, Seymour could put Tickle through a gap, Tickle passes it too Sharp and he scores Tickle get the assist on the stats and Seymour gets nothing.

We've wanted a good scrum half for years and now we have one. Get the right 6 and we should go well.

Thought Seymour started off really slowly but in the last few games he's really improved and if he has another quality half along side him think he'll get even better.

The best I have seen from Seymour was when he ran the show alone with Whiting as the 6 (though playing a 13 role), Horne & Seymour do not really work together for me. I think Seymour is slowly bedding in and there are odd glimpses of his class I think by next season he really could be a class act.

My view in a nutshell.

I have been impressed with Seymour and I believe he will get better and better.

Definitley. Not every half is the quality of Chase/Finch/Brough. It took Finch a whole season to start and make a noticable impact week on week, and that was next to a quality half partner.

Seymour is getting better all the time and wil be even better next season, if he is still here.

Lets not forget he was an NRL first grade half back, which is more than you can say for Michael Dobson.

Dobson was a kid when he left the NRL.

But he doesn't seem keen to go back and try again there, nor are NRL clubs queueing up to sign him.

Maybe he's happy here? He wouldn't be able to command the wages he gets in SL atm.

Really think Seymour is improving and once he fully settles in I can see him being an important player for at least the next 2 years. I've still not forgotten us being directed around the pitch by the likes of Thorman and Washbrook in the not too distant past so I like to focus on Seymour's positives.

Not sure why some are negative about Seymour, he is 1000% better than what we have had in recent memory , tackles like a forward, got tons of tricks and kicks up his sleeve and is still getting to grips with his first season at FC, I think now the grounds are firmer we will see a different faster Seymour but agree we do need to start thinking about a new half to work with him soon, Horne isnt anywhere near as bad as some make out but he isnt getting younger either and despite his age has played a lot of football and had some nasty injuries which have all taken their toll on him
personally happy to keep Seymour ongoing , good player imo

think hes more than solid,and will get better, remember finch when he first come over,he was very average, takes awhile to settle in and i believe seymour can get better and better
