I think you are right, but his agent was at the KC again on Sunday and I wouldnt underestimate the influence our new owners have. Leeds have a new coaching set up and that may influence his decision to look elsewhere.

Its the oldest trick in the book, make out other teams are also interested, 'we have numerous offers on the table', drive up the price he will demand, for all we know hull may have no intention of signing him, McRae is big mates with Howes, could be making all the right noises to drive up the price, kerching for Mr Howes and Ellis.

No idea if he has signed for Leeds but the word is he wants to win trophies as well as the big pay day. With all due respect and I swear I'm not trolling! I just don't see FC winning a trophy. If you do good luck to ya. Maybe a CC if the draw is kind. I just can't see it.

People said exactly the same about Leeds last year, right up until 2 weeks before they won the Grand Final.

I think it's too early to comment on whether or not we'll be capable of winning a trophy in the next 3 seasons after this one until we see how much we continue to improve this year along with our recruitment for next season. It can be almost guaranteed that Leeds will continue to be contenders for both trophies, though. I don't expect Ellis to sign for us, but that may actually be for the best given our main priorities for recruitment IMO.

Ellis would be nice but the amount of salary cap funds needed would unbalance us in other departments unless we have decided to balance our books like certain other clubs.
