Actually no they don't
The user agreement names both Hull city and Hull FC as joint prime users, either or both can veto the renting out of the stadium to a third party. Hull city council own the stadium and did ask KR right back before it was built and KR said no, that was the end of that. KR pay a peppercorn rent for the use of Craven park which they have to maintain and now they are having problems with funding devopements now.

| can I just ask, why are some of the more sensible FC fans even concerned about this, firstly it's in The Sun, so that makes it nonsense inthe first place, secondly it's written by Dave Parker, which means it was written in crayon.
KR getting anywhere near the KC as their home ground requires a lot of council discussions, a lot of consultation with both FC and City AND the various bodies that have already funded Caravan Park. They get 8,800 for a reason, small club, small chairman and a small mentality.
People would be much better served looking into where Mr "Knight in shining armour" Crossland has disappeared off to, and the financial stability/viability of Hull KR.
merger is not on the cards, despite what a few people might have you believe

No merger but hudge is painting himself into a corner with the lack of capacity at caravan park. If the north stand falls through then he needs to do something and the council won't refuse a request from rovers to play at the KC.
It's a council facility and we only rent it. I have no issues with rovers playing their home games there

I haven't seen anywhere that suggests it's not happening. It's a simple, perhaps inevitable, delay in the European funding. Maybe Hudgell should have spent £200k less on players this year - they have a very big squad - and not done the Tenerife camp, to balance the books. Hudgell want his cake and to eat it. It's within his gift to balance the books in the short term and he could accept this and act accordingly rather than blaming the council who have bent over backwards to assist Rovers over a number of years.

The funding isn't approved so at the minute it isn't happening. I don't doubt the grant will be approved but unless the council bankroll it in the short term I doubt it will be ready before mid 2013 at best

| Laughable quote from the ambulance chaser in the Wail that the dobbins have been honest with their accounts, or even too honest! Shades of Harry Redknapp there. Would this be the same people who post abbreviated accounts and usually put them in late?
Hudgell's web of lies regarding ground developments is unravelling rapidly and the truth is coming back to haunt him in a big way. No wonder he is desperately resorting to diversionary tactics with his attempts to revive and drag on the Gleeson case.
As for the dobbins at KC, I have no problems as long as they are paying an appropriate and equivalent rental and on time. Though with their perilous financial situation that might be a struggle for them.

Normally I'd agree with you, and I wrote something similar earlier in the thread. However I've since heard that there may actually be some substance to this and if you heard Hudge on Blunderside last night he went out of his way to NOT deny it and in fact made some comments that tie in nicely with the report.

Not really a concern, just annoying that this subject keeps coming back. And I really dont like the fact that Allam is craving for a merger.
It's just unwanted news, regardless of where it's from.

You've said there is that football ruins the pitch because it's played in winter. The pitch is fine in summer and another team is playing in summer.
All that basically means is that you definitely couldn't have two football teams playing on it. Come the end of the rugby season, whether there's one team or two, the pitch will be fine because it's played in summer.

I think there is a lot more to the derby than "east meets west"! If anything, it'll make it even more of a local derby. You can't get any more a local derby than playing in the same stadium!

I know what you're saying. I don't agree, and you're entitled to your opinion. The reason I don't agree is because of how you've come to your conclusion. You've said the rugby is fine during the summer months on the pitch. A second club, whilst increasing the wear on the pitch, wouldn't be that significant (IMO) for that reason. The pitch only struggles to hold up during the winter, and that's not being affected.

And why does it matter? If we get a better deal because of it, I'm for it. How will it affect Hull FC negatively in a practical sense other than a potential bit of extra wear on the pitch?

First off other people has said things that its a bad idea, but ya don't quote them, and that's why i told ya to do one..
About The pitch, i think it will make a difference, because its only going to hold 2 teams for about 2-3 months and then football going to start again. We Have One Of The best pitches in the league, (when football finishes.)
Regarding Hull Kr, I'm a fan that doesn't want them at the kc. Ever since they joined super league, they have been finding loopholes in everything and because there stadium doesn't match the criteria they want to move to kc, who knows if its temporary or full time.
But dont you think bit of extra wear on the pitch is going to improve season after season??

Because yours was the most ridiculous. To think the KC could lose all credibility cannot be justified at all so I couldn't ignore it.
You can't complain about not being allowed an opinion and then tell me to do one. It sort of contradicts your original complaint!
Quote ="ashleyheard1989"About The pitch, i think it will make a difference, because its only going to hold 2 teams for about 2-3 months and then football going to start again. We Have One Of The best pitches in the league, (when football finishes.) '"
The pitch would only hold 3 teams between Feb and May (4 months) and then for a month between the middle of August and middle of September (which would be the summer month anyway). The only time the pitch would be poor is during the start of the first four months, and that's because the football will have ruined the pitch. Come April, the pitch will hold up better, then by June it will be fine.

Why does it concern you what they're doing? You're not one of them kind of fans that pays more attention to his rivals than his own team are you? If it benefits Hull in any way, I couldn't give a stuff what they're doing.

Yes, and it does already. Because of the football in the winter.
