only thing to do is boycott dont go to game and dont spend a penny at that club untill things change then they will take notice when the pennys arnt flowing in

I personally dont know what is going on behind the scenes - the same as most people on here I would suspect - but I would be very surprised if all is as happy and going well as is portrayed by players/coach/board in the media. I do find it odd though that the general consensus on here seems to be that all the clubs dirty laundry should be aired in public and that any form of a united front is met with contempt and that the members of the club speaking out in this way are treated as idiots.

I am not for one second condoning what is going on with my club or certain individuals within it and I am massively worried at the direction it is taking; things need to change and quickly too otherwise we could be looking down the barrels of a credit-crunch-esque depression of the clubs fortunes - downward spirals, catch 22's and all that. HOWEVER I would be even more worried if there wasn't a 'party-line' being held and any in-fighting etc at the club started being dragged through the public arena.

I for one am glad that there is the support in the media for each other between the players, coach and board and the public face is that everything is ok and trying to be put right...it might be (and surely is!) a complete load of bull but at least it is being coherently said - the club would be in much more trouble if it wasn't and we faced daily reports of splits in the board, coaching setup and playing staff IMHO.

As I say I would be horrified if the statements were true and Radford/Fitz/Rule/Agar all believed we're rosy and a couple of tweaks will turn things around, but media is media and I still put value in a united front when things are tough, regardless of the state of things behind closed doors.

Respect is the key word and I am afraid the players play like they don't respect Agar. They don't worry about the consequences of below par performance. If I was a coach the meeting would be uncomfortable but there would be no anger at all. I would demand and expect 100% and I would work tirelessly to get a player playing beyond their capabilities every week. This is hard work and requires immense committment to each and every player.
Not sure that goes on because I really don't think some RL coaches have a clue about 1 to 1 man mgt.

tend to agree, but i cant help but feel that its the board holding the club back with some mind-boggling appointments and player recruitments....

Agar brings players he wants. Yeah the board will have some kind of influence but this whole thing about Agar being a YES MAN is ! Where's this so called evidence? To be honest if you look at our recruitments and squad, it should be challenging for play offs and even top 4. But then again, the team on paper never seems to perform so you have to take a look at the coaching staff. SACK AGAR!!

as for recruitment...i'll put it this way...we just signed Fb that lets be honest no-one else wanted....we signed a 7/9 from wakey who wasnt starter at either spot....long was way past his best when recruited,luaki is a complete liability, sharp is nowere near as good as calders was. dowes and radford RE-SIGNED

I want to go and watch a team who are competing, passionate, successful, well coached, i dont buy a season pass to look and admire the clubs f***ing balance sheet!!!!!!

I agree with you 100%. If we had a quality coach then I think we will compete for the play off's and even the top 4. Our squad is definitely good enough to achieve that! Do you disagree? For me profits etc is just a bonus.

Wakey used Obst as an impact hooker. Impact hookers usually start from the bench. He was their player of the year for the last two seasons, so I think it's safe to assume that he was very highly regarded there.

I was going to critique his post as well, but lost the will to live.

We are not the only club to have made "turd" signings. Things do wont work out for some players and different styles of play suit certain players. Our squad on paper should be challenging for a top 6 finish at least!

fair enogh for wakey...fc should be aimming higher than obst......funny how none of the top teams wanted to take his talents elsewhere dont ya think...

thats the issue tho...im not botherd what other clubs have done...its us that im concerned about and some of our recruitment has been awful at times

Obst is a very good player. He can play both halfback and hooker to a good standard and that's invaluable in any squad. He'll never be described as world class, but he's shown a lot more than Long has already this season. Whilst I think Agar is wide open to the majority of criticism coming his way, the signing of Obst is not something you can knock him for, in my opinion.

There were other things in there, but the Obst thing stood out as he's been playing quite well.

Yeah we have recruited awful players at times but do you think the squad we have is strong enough to challenge for top 5/6?

If the clubs is to reach full potential I think they need a top quality coach because lets be honest we don't have a bad bunch of a team do we?

i agree regards the long scenario...but as for obst....i just dont think we will go any further with him in our team that about 6-8th place.....just my opinion....

Agreed. If you want to criticise signings, Obst can be left out of the list for mine.

id say wigan,saints,leeds,wire,huddesrfield,cas and possibly kr all have a better chance than we do of making the top 5/6

top 8 this year me thinks.............7th for me..........not good enough we should be challenging higher
