I just resent people having ago at fans who don't want to go for whatever reason it doesn't make them any less of a supporter and my previous post wasn't about proving I was a better supporter than anyone else or anything like that it was just to illustrate a point!

Jed you do not have to explain to any-one why you go/don't go, most sensible/rational people understand and respect each individuals decisions.

its not about putting anyone to shame I'm no better than any other supporter, just at the minute I feel like I want to do something like stay away and feel like I'm doing something but in reality I know I will be there cheering the TEAM on not agar

I will be going on Friday but know some ardent fans who aren't bothering. That doesn't mean I look down on them as 'non fans' whilst considering myself as a 'super fan'. Everyone has a choice and it's down to the individual whether they choose to go or not - other people shouldn't judge them because of it.

Its called a freedom of choice.

To be quite honest I have a season pass and at the beginning of the week I was adament I would still attend the game as I had paid for season but as the week is getting on I have honestly thought the waste of my time is more of a factor. I turn down many opportunities due to the games but now after years of not even considering anything other than a Hull game I am at the stage of doing what I thought unthinkable and putting other things before a game.

Why the hell should I feel compelled to sit through more of the same, enough is enough at some point and many people have or are now reaching it.

I'm going and anyone who isn't is definitely nowhere near as great a fan as me

Some fans of most teams drift away during bad times,its a natural occurrence.For the record I am going Friday,but more in hope than expectation,but I am not enjoying the situation at the moment.

No there is a huge difference, people are choosing not to go because of the way we play. We faced much harder times before but you got the impression the lads and the coach were doing the best they could with the resources they had.
Now if people think we are doing the best we can with our resources then i think they really need to take a long hard look at the team and the way they play.

You have already stated you don't go every week now, stating because your old and weary. Well i ain't going on friday because i am neither young nor old but i am definitely weary.

As you say hullbg we might of had teams not very good but at least they gave it there all and the coaches tried to play to the opposition.
I've been a supporter for 60 years boycotted once before when it was obvious to every one we needed a prop, stood up and told 3 directors in the old supporters club house and three weeks later we signed Vince Farrah [was not my choice but hay

In my opinion we are now in the worst position in the clubs history. All the other times the club has struggled on the field, it was also struggling off it. We have the best stadium in the country, the only club that makes a profit, and one of the top 3 supported clubs in the country. The club is in the best position it has ever been in to invest heavily on the playing side without getting into serous debt. But the people running the club have no interest in giving that bit extra. Ok they put money in at the start, but once the club started making money year after year, it seems that this is all that matters.
Can you imagine how much merchandise would be sold if we finally won at Wembley, it could literally run into millions

Why do they spend big on Long, O'Meley and Fitz, tie up Briscoe for 5 years, re-sign Manu, up to ante to keep Tickle, pay fees for Westerman, Tansey and Obst, then? If the board aren't bothered at all, why do this? IMO, whilst Hull FC is not an all-consuming love for the board, they would probably quite like to win something and do spend close to the maximum on salaries. It's the coaching recruitment that baffles me.

That's how I see it too, I don't think Agar is there because he's cheap. I can see why it's such an obvious conclusion though, because it is so utterly perplexing what the hell they see in him.

Yes of course it is. Although if you took your measure of the clubs position as being what percentage of it's potential it was fulfilling, the Agar era probably is the worst ever performance.

They should have gone back to Cas and got Chase. But they weren't prepared to pay out again. Warrington or Wigan would have done. Tansey and Obst were pocked money fees, and Long, fitzgibbon and Omeley were all within the cap. We paid around £150000 for Westerman but with the money left from Berrigan and Tansey that covers that fee. So don't be fooled into thinking the club have spent anymore money that they should do anyway. Our club should spend to the cap, I bet when you paid for your pass you fully expected that the club would be spending to the cap limit, not £150000 short
