Well, as nothing is going to change whilst Richard Agar is head coach, you're going to be unhappy for another 2years at least.

How about having watched almost 3 seasons of Richard Agar in charge of Hull FC as a good indicator of his ability as a rugby coach.

Wait until 2012 when he gets his own team

Briscoe will be a prop by then, thats the only way agar will be able to get him a pass

TBH i think hes a realy nice fella Agar but just isn't upto the job never has been never will be, i know its a tough and i suppose loneley job at times when things are going badly, but even though we have been winning a few this season the rugby never excites me and his decisons on subs are quite baffling beyong belief at times and doesn't help himself

We go out to grind a win instead of trying to play a team off the park

When i read hull daily mail tonight and he said wakefield deserve some creit they played well proved everything, because he must have been watching a different game to me becasue they were only slightly better than us

I don't think in the game we won one collision were we landed knees and elbows allowing us a quick ptb, iv'e never seen such a slow team in all my life at the ptb

I really cannot see anything changing any time soon. It is not just Agar but i feel we need a complete clear out of the background staff and start a fresh. Agar gets the majority of the stick as head coach and rightly so but this type of rugby has been in place for a long time at Hull now.
A new coach will bring new ideas but if the coaching team etc stays the same then not that much will change for me.

I agree would keep Lasty tbh, but you look at Wire they was brave enough to realise thjey had made a mistake in giving the job to Lowes but acted upon it brought in a top class coach and the rest is history

Why can't our board have the forsight to make changes ateotd it would make there life easier because with a successful coach they wouldn't cop the flak and would generate more income with a successful team

It's been in since kear took over and agar was his assistant. Agree, the whole culture of the club needs to change

Watched the game on saturday and it was 2008/9 revisited.
But for me the issue post Cooke is that we have not had two half backs regularly on the pitch. We looked fine in the 2nd half Saints, Cas, Cats away, Salford, first half Hudds and Bulls.When we have no Long (and IMO Horney is finished and should never have been given a 4 year contract) we are rudderless as we were without Dykes and Head. We have some big tough forwards and we have some useful backs but without pivots'playmakers we have no cohesive structure. Now KR rely heavily on Dobson who has not missed a single game since they signed him.
My biggest concern long term is that most of our juniors are falling short of SL standard and we have to rely on the old guard staying a year longer and older. Some of the comments regarding Agar are valid but with Berrigan/Washbrook in the halves we do not have the ability to play an expansive game.

I've noticed at a number of games this season from re-starts that Lasty is darting onto the pitch and moving players into their correct positions. I find it incredibly alarming that professional rugby players have to be told "your standing out of position". I love lasty's enthusiasm and commitment though, he does his job as though his life depends on it.

I agree to a certain extent, but Agar has now had 3 assistants work under him (that in itself tells a story) and nothing has changed.

I know Agar is the man that calls the shots, but a good coach will always consult with and listen to their assistants and it seems that our coach does neither. I am sure that there are plenty of coach’s that would love to have an assistant with the experience and knowledge of Dennis Moore, but it seems to me that Agar was unwilling to tap into this experience, just my opinion of course.

I’ve always felt that a teams style of play is a reflection of a coaches personality, unfortunately Hull is no different. I’m not one for aimless rants or tantrums but it would be nice to see Agar show some emotion, just once. His ‘ah well, these things happen’ approach to his interview after the Wakey game summed him up for me.

Jumping up and down is not the style of most top coaches!!

Agar shouldnt be sat around with a calm like expression devoid of any clues or ideas giving damn right pathetic post match analysis to media! he should be worrying that the axe is looming and I better kick some ass to get the best I possibly can out of MY squad of players and be relaying this to the fans via the media. Instead he is sat all relaxed with the comforting thought that he has a safety net of a pre agreed contract extension!. Top coaches normally work at top clubs and any poor performances are usually short lived as things are changed like new players in or new head coach in. Our poor performances have lasted 3 years now only imo of course apart from a freaky game at the start of this season and a 40 min come back a few games ago! thats a great show for an army of 15k+ supporters

you could of beat wakefield, newt wrong with yeamans try, cooke was never a try in a million years, and they had 2 interceptions !


if anything, you had a really unlucky day. that game could, and should have been so much different.
chin up your a good club, with good loyal fans, you have a good set of lads there if you have a decent coach im sure you'll turn things around. and at the end of the day, your still fourth

But its true , both sides were shocking but Wakefield got the luck and that was the difference on the night!
AND WERE STILL 4TH!!!!

and again our famous song is used as an excuse for people to tolerate the crap that we see. Some people can see past blindly following rubbish.
