How would i know if he did as i didnt go........Oh so Briscoe is open to critism then....earlier in the season he was making mistakes with Hall but nothing was said about him....he is going to be a hell of a winger but he does need to work on positional play as he does get caught out...im never dissapointed when players do well and the team wins.

Was a tough game today actually - the swirling wind was vicious and I was a bit worried about him under the bomb but he did pretty well.

Calderwood's been out for most of the season.
Nobody else would want him except the bottom half teams, he's not good enough consistantly and Whiting shows him up completely on how to perform no matter were you're played.

I reckon any of the above would attract some interest from those clubs provided they had a need to recruit in their relevant positions. Long would have been one of them too if he wasn't crocked.

I wouldn't object to that in the short term. But like I said earlier, if we're going to improve we have to lose some of our current players and sign better ones. If we re-sign everyone, we'll just stay the same. Of all the players in the first team squad, I'd prefer to see Hall move on than any of the others. Followed by Washbrook. Not because I think they're [ibad[/i players, just that they're not [igood enough[/i if we want to be genuine contenders for silverware.

Yeaman and Whiting have no place on that list IMO. Depending on what you count as Whiting's position. Berrigan would be borderline, as would Lauaki.

Yeaman was courted by Leeds before he re-signed.

Though i do think that his argument is flawed somewhat, given G. Horne has ended up at Hudds.

But Craig Hall is NOT good enough.

It obviously stands to reason that a club wouldn't recruit ANY player unless they had a need to. Doesn't it? It's a salary cap sport and I don't suppose many clubs go around signing players they don't need - however good they are.

If a top 6 club needed a prop (for example), they would be very interested in O'Meley. If a top 6 club needed a centre, I sincerely doubt they would have any interest in signing Hall.



Whiting would be an asset to any club. His position would be that he could play anywhere from 1-13 to quite a high standard. In the modern game, with cap limitations and whatnot, that's an excellent quality to have.

Yeaman we'll have to disagree on. If he got the sort of service Wigan's threequarters get, I don't think he'd look out of place in their side (or any other).



Agreed. Someone might take a punt on Berrigan because he has been a great player in the past and a fresh start can sometimes bring about a resurgence in form. Lauaki (and possibly Moa) might attract some interest depending on who else was available.

if he's so terribly bad the club would have ditched him long before this season, i can see PROPER professionals coaches not arm chair ones know he's got natural tallent that can't be coached or taught thats why he is still there and not you..
