Sharp was the defence coach,
Guess who was the attack coach???

| At the risk of being shot down in flames, the board are the ones who have made the club stable. The balance sheet is excellent and we can all relax safe in the knowledge that we won't be going bust anytime soon.
Where they are lacking though is in the ability to see that having a decent squad is totally negated by having a second class coach.
Everyone of us must have been expecting more this season. Marquee signings and positive talk from within the club = record season pass sales. Not me I admit but thats due to Friday nights as opposed to not wanting to purchase a pass. I personally have booked several Fridays of annual leave though I will review this now and take the breaks with the family and not at the KC.
The lowest point of the season so far for me was when I woke on April 1st to find a email from the club stating that Agar had signed a new contract. Yet another 2 years of gash in store for me and my fellow fan.
Since then the whole season has fallen apart. Despite this yesterday I foolishly thought as Bradford were falling apart / failing to turn up. 2points against Quins and we would be top 5 with players apparently getting back to fitness. A week off next week and then Cats and Tigers away to come and we could have been looking at possible top four by the end of May. Its more likely to be bottom four by the end of June.
I understand the sentiment around protests. Words on here are as hollow as words spoken by the club about mounting a challenge at the start of the season. Walking out with 10 minutes to go in a match are pointless. As is a boycott as we all love the club and want to support it.
For me the only way is to start with chants of Agar out. I have no desire to really upset someone who is clearly a nice man but he is destroying our club. He is the common thread through the past 4 poor seasons and he has to take the blame now.
All his coaching team (I use the word coahing in the loosest term as I don't see any coaching taking place) have to go and a new broom must sweep through from top to bottom. Until Kath sees that we as fans will not stand for Agar and then in turn at least 6 players (the majority of whom are local lads ) then we will have the status quo only next season it will only be 5000 season tickets.
So constant chants of Agar out throughout matches for me is the way forward. Any suggestion that it will not inspire the team is futile as the players are clearly not playing for the shirt in anycase.
The board have to look to Wire as a fine example of a grade A club who took positive steps to bring a squad to the level they should have been achieving. I am not convinced they are doing it legally but they have speculated to accumulate. If we had a winning team by spending a little extra now the club would reap the benefits with final apperences and attendances at the KC.
Who that coach would be at this time I don't exactly know as some of my dreams are simply that, but it has to happen and it has to happen now.

| I am up for Agar out chant next home game.
I really think we only would need to do it once as he is a proud man and would walk. I was saying yesterday that Fc only had to play to 50% of what they are capable of and we would have won but once again they come out and you immediately think that they are not interested, no motivation again.
I agree the only way to hurt Fc is season ticket though, while we continiue to have record sales we can whine as much as we like and nothing will be done by the board.

Agree with this. A boycott is not going to work - only around a couple of hundred Hull fans come on here and last year the attendances for some games fell by around 3,000 compared to the start of the season but nothing changed.
Agar Out chants are not pleasant but will get the message across pretty quickly.

calling him 'Mr Agar' implies you have some kind of respect
for him, surely you aren't that simple minded?
I get tired of hearing all this 'he's a nice guy' nonsense even when people are condemning him... My friends would assure you all that i'm a nice guy who means well but it doesn't mean I have any business coaching a professional rugby team... I really wouldn't employ Agar to wash my car...

why the hell should we live with it. We pay good money and shed loads of it. If he stays and the standards remain the same the club will suffer financially and that will not do. We can only protest this season as the cash is banked.
We had to live with the PR pre season. The fans are the "18th man". Well this 18th man will be putting in a transfer request if Agar and his team of coaches stay. I won't be transfering to a new team I will simply take my hard earned to the seaside as Mr Rule told me to do when we changed to Friday nights.
If you can't see that we are a laughing stock then you need your head testing. Not one of that team that played yesterday played with any passion for the shirt. Thats hard on some I know who have tried at times this year, but they are clearly not inspired by the best young coach in England.
Our player of the season , Whiting , is the best reader of a game in the entire squad and yet he is left to wonder around on the wing. That for me sums up all that Agar has done to the team.
Just because he has just signed a new contract does not mean that we can't grow some and demand his removal. Its a simple matter of get rid soon or realise the anger of the fans in Jan 2011 when season ticket sales and shirt sales diminish.

This in itself should have been motivation enough for the players to get their backsides in gear and, if not that, for the many fans that shelled out their hard earned to go and watch them. I'm starting to wonder if the players themselves actually have any ambition or desire because there was certainly none on show yesterday. Watched the Melbourne game this morning without knowing the score wondering how they'd play with nothing to play for. As I suspected, they were ultimate professionals and won the game convincingly. Our players could take a leaf out of their book.

I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make TBH. Do you still think that Agar is doing a bang-up job and so should be retained? Or are you finally seeing the light but just think that nothing will be done?

The players certainly share some of the blame, but the coach is at the centre of it IMO. We were told that the bad apples had all been released and this was HIS team. He signed them, trains them, and picks them to play. If so many are not performing, then that's really down to him at the end of the day.

Aside from the fact that this is now 'Agar's team', people who use this argument just don't understand the sport. It seems some people want to believe that playing for the club should be motivation alone for the players but the fact is 99% of all rugby players are simply mercenaries, a black and white hooped shirt and a song about a horse aren't enough to motivate them to success.
Essentially in the modern game the players play for the coach and unfortunately for us our coach is Agar, we had no chance from
the day he was appointed.

| Already decided not to renew season pass next season if Clueless is still in charge. I will follow them at all the away games so i get to see them but the club will not get a penny from me next season. Not even for a new shirt i will just stick with this seasons.
Spoke to a lot of our supporters at Murrayfield yesterday and it is surprising how many are feeling this way and will not be renewing their passes.
