I agree we need a back up in the halfs, tbh I think Long will spend most of the games he plays patched up



I am optimistic Mrs B..this year I see something, I believe we will finish top 6 and if we can hit a purple patch possibly top 4.

Would definitely be looking at playing Washy at 9, him and Houghton to share 50/50 with Washy starting.

Unless Horne and Long are back, then we could shift Whiting to FB, Turner to centre and play Tansey at 9? I'd prefer we went with option 1

Need to keep Tansey at fullback, he looks much better when he comes into the line with space, playing at 9 he wont get that amount of space.

I can't see how he can be doing anything but guessing.

May be in contact with the club or knows someone there......so not guessing.

It came across like he was not guessing...interesting I hope he is, nothing has been mentioned about the injury or the length he is expected to be out.

Ther may have only been 16 points between the teams but if anyone who went to the game thinks that we were only 16 points inferior then they're deluding themselves. Leeds , as they did in France , took their foot of the gas when it was looking easy. We produced no intensity at the outset , same as at Crusaders and Salford. Whatever your name as a professional player surely you should be up for the game? Those coming in for senior players more so? How come the side were not motivated from the off? Agar to me had decided that this game didn't matter and that had got through to the players , supporters and media. That can't be right.

Seems Agar is putting all his eggs in one basket (the players) with the challenge cup game this saturday,Lets hope we win and Agar can justify his 2 year contract otherwise its going to be another season of 'what might have been',I personally dont think Agar has what it takes even tho he says Hull fc are 'work in progress'

I still feel we will finish in the top8...however it will be a 5th-8th finish, and very unlikely we will go further than playoff round 1.

we lack the pace, ideas and consistency to do any better.

so therefore next weeks game makes or breaks our season really.

Did anybody have a good view of Leeds first 2 tries?, I was standing the other side of the posts. Did senior ground the ball for the 1st and was it a double movement for the 2nd??....

I thought the first one Senior was on his back and held up. The 2nd was a try because nobody tackled him before he madethe 2nd move forward.

Thought whiting or hall had a hand on him when bally carrying arm hit the ground

As a Leeds fan I was really impressed with Tansey today.

Looked a different player to the one who played for us although that said we never really gave him an extended run in any one position.

Seems to have a lot more responsibility/involment in your attacking systems.

Think your performance with key players missing and your first,second and third choice goalkickers missing sets it up for a cracker next Saturday as your guys and fans will have taken a lot of confidence out of the way you hit back late in both halfs.

I was pretty happy with the performance today tbh.
Our defence does need some work before next week as we were letting them run at us and dropping off tackles all over the shop but that could be a bit of an Easter hangover with two very intense game taking their toll.
Also when Leeds make a break they invariably finish as they have pace all over the park whereas that is a quality we do struggle for a litte bit.

Attack wise, I think we did pretty well and it just shows that we can score tries if we get it out wide. Tansey came into the attack very well IMO and I thought Washbrook had his best game as a stand-in half back for us.

Moa and Burnett had good games again as did Houghton IMO.

If we get some key personal back for next week, namely one or preferably both halfbacks I think we're in with a good shot.

In terms of being below average, I don't think so. I reckon we're about at our level. Yes, we've lost at Crusaders and Salford where we expected to pick up points but we've beaten Huddersfield and Saints so far. If we were 6th having beaten Salford and Crusaders but having lost to Hudds and Saints I don't think folk would be quite so negative.

the fact remains,this is the most wide open it has been for a long time.warrington got beat today by the dobbins,missing briers,monaghan and carvell(after 7 mins)and wire fans have picked up on this.we were missing long,horne,fitz,tickle,calders,and shortly into the game berro!!.we were bound to suffer.hopefully next week will be different with at least a minimum of 3 back(possibly 4,as long has a small chance)
