with players we had missing,then to lose longy,i thought we did very well,maybe turner could have moved to 6 when longy went off.we needed a bit of creativity,or little chips over the defence which wire was doing,causing us problems.we need to realise wire had myler,briers,bridge,monoghan,higham,to call upon for creativity,we had long who we lost after 20 mins.we must have been down to the bare bones for a team to have lyne on the bench and kent 18,man.just hope longy is ok and for me washbrookes days are numberd he offers nothing,just a squad player,

One thing that impressed me today was the fact they never gave up even when the game was dead and buried. Even at the end Manu & Co were still looking to make good hard yards. Something that has been severley lacking in recent years.
It's never good to lose but i thought there were plenty of plusses for us.

My sentiments exactly,this young fella had a fine game today,as did all the team.The crowd were behind the team today because they saw players giving their all,what more can we ask of them

If kent had been on the bench it would have been more likely for him to have a short spell than Lynne.
Lynne was a waste sat there, whereas Kent could have had a 10 minute spell just to give one of the forewards a rest.

All players gave 100%,thats all we can ask.

just got back now. You lot didn't play that bad atall you just came up against a very good defensive side (i can finally say that this season) you will be there or thereabouts come the end of the year.

how many did we take certainly looked like a few from in the stand and could you tell the atmosphere in the stand it was great ?

One ten minute spell from a player who isn't ready could have done much more harm than good.

If people want to miss the traffic fair do's I think....I thought the faithful were in fine voice today and I am sure the players appreciated that, even at the end they sang.

I don't have a problem with it. Personally, I wanted to stay and show my appreciation for the performance today, but if people would rather shoot out than sit in traffic for half an hour, that's up to them. They've supported their team by paying to get in and watching the game.

If you want to miss the traffic, dont bother going.

I do not leave early...however if people pays their money they can do what they like, if they want to go a few minutes early so what, they are no less a supporter of the club than us who stay.

Or, alternatively, show that you support your club by paying to get into the stadium and cheering your team on throughout the game, before leaving at the final whistle.

Agar obviously feels they are ready and are in the squad to play, not just sit around on the bench. I'm talking about Kent here and he would be more helpful as a forward which could have given someone an extra 10 minutes rest.
For example, o'meley came off for a spell for 10 minutes at one stage just for a rest, then he was back on again. Kent, as a forward could have spelled someone else surely.

No. Let me spell it out for you again. He had no option but to put a player in the squad that wasn't really ready to be there. We had no one other than Lynne and Kent. Neither would have played unless the only other alternative was playing with 12 men. Lynne got the nod as we were already thin in the backs.
