Think its a horses for courses situation this week with 1 of Wigans biggest strengths been the kick to the corner for Richards it makes sense to play Hall and Whiting together who are taller players and generally better in the air then Calderwood.
I dare say the fact that we are up against Martin Gleeson and Carmont who are 2 of the best attacking centres in the league it makes sense for us to combat this with Yeaman and Whiting in our centres who are generally solid in defence.
Calderwood, Washbrook, Burnett along with Turner and Moa (proabably) all missing out shows what good strength in depth we have at the minute and at times like Easter this will prove to be invaluable imo.

Starting 13 unbeaten so far this season so I'd go with that. But I think Agar will go with Cusack instead of Moa.

I said last week that Whiting has to play centre/wing for this one. Briscoe will need a lot of support when the ball is in the air on Friday night. Crusaders murdered us here on our last away trip so Whiting to revert to the wing when Wigan are attacking to hopefully nullify Richards.

It's tough to say. I'd pick Goulding as he's a natural left centre but Maguire moved Joel Tomkins to left centre at Bradford and said on the Wigan website he may do the same again(with either Tomkins or Bailey playing there).
If I had to take a punt I think he might just edge for Goulding there because this week we can move Roberts back to right wing with Phelps being back.

Can't see mention of an injury in the blog or anywhere else.
I think he's been dropped. Surprised because I feel we need his defensive strength and speed against Wigan. He's our only proper winger ffs. |
