I would expect both sides to start strong, without risking anyone who's carrying a knock, and then to change it a lot at half time. Result will mean nothing as long as both sides come out of it with no injury concerns.

I can see arguments for both sets of rules. This is Hulls only friendly against a Super League side and we have a few new players who need to blend in and get familiar with each other and plays etc.

Rovers play a few more friendlies and probably would like to get more fringe players involved in the derby type atmosphere for the experience.

The thing is mate, Agar knows that despite it only being a friendly it will take a lot of early pressure off him if you beat us. The pressure will be right on him if we give you a beating and then you are faced Saints and Hudds first up in the league.
I think this message is been hammered home to your players which is why they all seem so "up" for the game from various interviews i have read.
Justin is far more secure in his job and can afford to blood players like Taylor, Spaven, Hodgson, Beaumont, Mariano etc safe in the knowledge that the knives wont be out if we lose and the youngsters get invaluable experience incase they are needed when the real stuff starts.

I agree, I definitely think FC (and Agar) need a result a lot more than we do. Don't get me wrong, I'll be delighted if we do win (again) but I wont be crying in my beer if we don't.

I'm sure that whichever players pull on the Rovers shirt will take the game seriously irrespective of their age, experience and level in the pecking order within our squad. To be honest i would expect to beat you whichever side we turn out.
We have a game against Bradford i believe closer to the start of Super League where i expect our full side to play together.

You should know me well enough to know how i react to defeats against Hull . Fortunately i havnt seen many since all 3 grades have been playing you at Super League level. I dont expect that to change next season.

Because i think that on the whole we have better players, are more well balanced , have more stability and understandings and are better coached.

As well as i limited team that is weaker than last season......if they get off to a bad start....this may be the season the natives get on Morgans back.

Well Balanced?.....your pack is very weak and doesnt have stregth in depth and for better players....time will see but id stack our 2010 team against yours.

Our pack is certainly not weak, it may not have the strength in depth as yours does but if the signing of a good prop comes off, its a pack that is very capable.

True the squad counts for nothing and we didnt have strength in depth either like we have this season..............IF injuries hit you like they have hit us for the last 2 seasons will you cope...i dint think you will but we will.
