Being a good bloke who works long hours isn't enough, though. I've nothing personal against Agar - in fact I believe him to be passionate and dedicated about bringing success to the club - but I've yet to see any evidence of particular ability as a [ihead[/i coach.

I was thinking, it's a long time since we had a team of such quality in so many positions... decades in fact. Over recent years we've had the odd great player dotted about in a sea of "slightly above average" players but I feel this has the makings of a great team. Each time I think about starting a thread listing the people playing in different positions I find myself thinking "very good player" or "a star in the making" or "a proven player at the top level" or "will finally be given time to show us what they can do behind a top pack".

What we don't know is whether Richard Agar will be an Arthur Bunting or a Royce Simmons for us - in other words will we have a great season or the odd great game dotted around a season. I have faith in Agar but I also had faith in Paul KIng. Come on Rich, repay my faith by turning out to be a great coach.

Well there's certainly no place to hide next season, and from what he's said in public he knows it. I hope he does prove people wrong but I can't say that I'm confident.

I just get the feeling that he's a great assistant but just not cut out to be the man in charge on matchdays.

Without a doubt we have the best pack in the league, which will give the platform for Long and Horne to perform behind i feel good times ahead

On paper we look good and wouldn't argue with your statement but we have looked good on paper before and never benefited.

If everyone keeps reasonably injury free, Then i can't see two reasons why we can't finish within the top four.

Me too infact if we have a injury free season, i think were more than capable of challenging for the top 2, and also hopeflly see Yeamo get back to the 2006 form with a good supply of ball from Longy

We all knew we were light in the pack last year. We can't say that now. Lauaki reckoned he was only 50% fit for his end of season cameo and still looked a handfull....Can't wait.

Moa didnt have a pre-season either. Our pack looks massive and hopefully if they keep fit we will start to smash some teams about. Will be really nice for us to not only have Manu to rely on to break the line too.
