No, he turned back at a junction on the M5, but we had 2 officials at the service station near Coventry on the M6 who were waitingfor him.
When we rang his agent he knew nothing about it, and it was only when Gibbs got home that the agent could get in touch with him, and he then let us know.
This was in the days before mobile phones and a lot of coin was pumped into a payphone at those services. |
