I haven't forgotten the issues surrounding Agar, but I'm willing to give him credit for some good recruitment. I remain unconvinced by just about every other aspect of a coaches job, however.

I'm also willing to at least entertain the idea that maybe some of our issues have been down to players not performing as requested and that might be sorted out with the changes in play for next season.

ATEOTD it seems to me that like it or not we are going to have Agar as coach next season, so maybe people are just hoping for the best?

Quite possibly, I remain of the opinion he isn't a top class coach so long as he has a hole in his Iestyn. And I tend to think the board agree, hence Sharp being at the club.

During that time we have made the Grand final and the challenge cup final and still managed to sack a coach.

Noble has done an OK job at Wigan.

Thats my position really. I wasn't happy that we gave him a 2 and half year contract in the first place but once we did we have to see it though IMO and give him the chance to grow into the role. Obviously he will make mistakes along the way but I think the current recruitment seems to suggest he has learned what the problems are and is looking to sort them out. If the team are still playing the same sort of rugby when he has his players in place then that is the time to look to get rid by not renewing his contract.

And the 5 drive and a kick. No matter what hand he has been dealt this season it is no excuse for not trying something different.

If your using the board to back your arguement up by saying they have Sharp at the club because Agar cant hack it (meaning Sharp is a top coach), I will instantly disregard everything you say from now on.

Never said that I AGREE, but that is the reason Sharp was brought in, to give Agar assistance/guidance.

Agar is here next year. Sharp should not be, he can then stand up fall flat on his face on his own if thats the crack. He should appoint his own asssistant and be done with it.

I'm not convinced he was brought in as insurance to remove Agar though. Personally I think he shouldn't really be here as it does undermine Agar's position with the players (even subconciously) and Agar needs to be able to show he is the boss. I'm hoping the new recruitment is showing all the players that nobodies position is secure and that they need to be professional and work hard to stay at this club rather than playing poorly and allowing the coach to take all the blame.

Spot on. The signing of 2 ageing stars of the game and a kid who couldn't hold down a 1st team spot at leeds suddenly make agar some kind of coaching messiah to some. His greatest gift seems to be an uncanny ability to pull the wool over people's eyes

There are a fair fe who are happy in their state of delusion though Jake, and that has long been a problem with the FC Faithful, it's likethe mass "love in" for Kingy because he is a local lad, people don't see the fact that he's been taking the pi55 for years.

I've said all along to the lads at work that i think Agar and Sharp will make a good partnership. (make any jokes you want as no doubt someone will)

I aren't saying that Agar was the correct choice at the time and i arent saying that i think he is or will be the greatest. I do however think that he will, given time, become a successful coach for the club and him and Sharp will work well together.

I've siad all along that when Agar took over that everything was and would be geared up for the 2010 season. With a view to further improvements for the 2011 season.

The direction in which the club has been travelling since imo Mcrae left has been in rapid reverse, each person since taking us furhter away from where we was reaching under Mcrae.

Mcrae spent a lot of time building us up from the ground upwards and imo achieved a great deal for us albeit no trophies but as we all know 2005 we won the challenge cup, a year in which i feel anyone could of coached us and we'd of won that due to the work Mcrae put in whilst here.

Under Mcrae we wwan't scared to throw the ball around and we posted a fair few points in doing so. He spotted the right kind of talent youthful and experianced, blended them well and it worked. The work put in since then has been imo dire a build up of which has led to our current sittuation.

Agar has took over a club that was in rapid free fall, anyone who took this club on would find themselves in the same predicament due to the the type of talent we have at the club ie jack of all trades masters of none and grafters as opposed to creators blended with creative work horses.

I can't see why a lot of people talk about Sharp been brought in to oust Agar. As i see it Sharp was brought in because Agar wanted him there, as he thought a guy with an international back ground and a guy who has an obvious liking and passion for the club would be a good addition.

I may be wrong but i'm sure Agar and Sharp are as good as best mates, brought up together playing in the streets as children and remainded close througout there life. Why would Sharp come to see his bessy mate sacked so he could take the helm. Sharp knows Agars family and so on. Imho he wouldn't take the job if Agar got sacked and he was offered the role, for the simple reason of how close there families are.

Get off Agars back and see what 2010 leading on 2011 brings, i haven't got a crystal ball but, i honestly think a lot of people will be eating their words and will be very surprised in the direction we start travelling in.

If I'm wrong then so be it i'll eat my words but, i for one don't really want to pass comment on anything other than the playing personnel until such time as we can 110% point any finger at Agar.

All that proves is that you have gone backwards whilst Noble has taken us forwards.

Agar is clueless, simple fact.

Seem to remember people posting similar in 2007 about sharp and we all know what happened there. A good coach will get the best out of teh players he has. agar's side is underperforming pretty much right across the team. Says everything about agar IMO
