I was at Craven Park yesterday standing with the Warrington supporters and they reckon that there's to be a big signing for them announced next week which they reckon is Thurstan; apparently the Orford to Wire story is a load of tosh so if he is coming to SL that would leave us and Wigan.

The only problem seems to be that they also seem fairly certain that Briers will be out at the end of the season so we'll probably sign him as a scrum half instead!!

I have given them a clue about three times of who it was who said HE has not signed HIS contract but still they come

Disagree, Briers has a good kicking game but nothing much else, although he would be a big improvement on Thorman, we should aim for far better than him.

Yeah, but Warrington haven't won a game in the last 3 years in which he hasn't played. That kinda shows you the influence he has on a side. Anyway, he'd be a great improvement over Thorman.

Lee Briers is one of the select few in super league that has been able to single handley turn his game on his own over a number of years

I know he isn't everyone favourite player but you can't coach instinct what he has, he plays off the cuff at times and see's what in front of him and isn't frightend to kick early if see's the opportunity

totally agree! he is the perfect replacement for the void left by cooke, however even though filling that void would dramatically improve the team, briers is not world class and thats what we should aim for, orford is the man we should aim for, he can do everything briers can more consistently but alsos adds different options in attack through his skills and smart thinking.
