Same where i sit. Still, Motu has been out for a year or so hasnt he so at least he has escaped the jeers when a bomb goes up from our own fans. For reference to those that jeer, Raynor didnt get near the bomb v Leeds, nothing to do with Motu!

Me too, I thought he showed some good touches and considering how long he has been out he did very well.

Don't you know?!
Raynor is the Super Leagues only SILENT player. I thought 2005 CC final would have told you about that!

Looked like Raynor had, he got near enough to take it but pulled his arms away.

Wasnt saying about his performance against leeds.
I can appreciate he has been out along time but Richard Horne is far superior then motu and can only improve in that position.
Motu has always been dodgy at fullback ...his positioning sucks and loves to let the BALL BOUNCE!!! add to the fact of him being suspect under the bomb I really cannot see how everyone goes mad about him.
his best asset is he is good at bringing the ball forward.
Briscoe was a better fullback and is doing an excellent job for kr.
Solomona is quality and is a ball handling loose forward we are craving for or would you lot rahter have radford there?
Yes im sure there is better players out there but i was just going by what i could pick from the list.

Horne is very safe at fullback but he does not make a lot of yards when it comes to bringing the ball back, this is where Motu excels. Motu actually drops very little in terms of high balls, he had a bad 25 mins against Quins last season when he dropped a couple but then went on to have a great game.
He does sometimes struggle with his positioning but I honestly feel that with Briscoe, Raynor and Tony as the back three we have arguably three of the best players for bringing the ball away from our line from kicks and sebsequent ptb's.
Plus we all are complaining about Thorman so we have to play Horne in the halves.
Solomona is better than Radford, no contest but he seems to be constantly injured over the last two seasons.

| I would take Long TBH on a one year contract, with the option of a second one. I think he'd really help take the team forward, not a long term fixture for sure but he has a good RL brain and I reckon we could benefit from him.

| We need a centre a scrum half and an organiser so...
Sykes, Bridge and Gilmour would all improve our back line. Would love to have seen Gilmour here a year or so ago when all the rumours were flying about. Can't see Wire letting Bridge go, has been outsanding recently for them, great footballer when fit and could play centre or half back for us.
Briers piddles all over our current scrum half so would take him too.

I agree Paul so then R.Horne will be more beneficial to hull then motu as there is people around him who can also bring the ball back as well.
I would put motu at wing or centre if i had to keep him.
Next season as long as Hull recruit well then richard should start at full back...with briscoe, yeoman, raynor and calderwood in the back line im very confident we have a strong back line just waiting for some classy playmakers to use them to there best ability.

Motu's like an exocet at the back, strong, brave and the best broken field runner we have. It was also noticeable that he looked far more effective running onto that miss ball to the FB we've been trying all season than any of the others who have tried at FB.
Horne as long term FB is a non starter for me as we can't even find 1 decent 1/2 back, let alone 2

For Horne to play fullback we would need to sign two halves which is very unlikely. Unless we play Washy at 6 but imo he should be playing 13, or Berro at 6 but he is not a 6.
Washy at 6 with a new SH and Horne to fullback is a possibiltiy but only if Motu leaves, if he stays then he should be our fullback, he is not particularly good at centre or on the wing.

Ha ha well thats why i dont rate him then as I think he is better at centre or wing and NOT fullback.
There is no reason hull cannot get a 6 and a 7 if they get there recruitment right.

It about sums this squad up when the fans debate (argue) who is the team's better full back, the contenders being a stand off or an hooker!!

If you're going to use that argument, the two contenders are a winger and a hooker.
