How can people get so negative? I'm not over confident in saying we're gonna walk the league this year but to compare this season so far to last season is completely crazy



We lost our first away game of the season on saturday night but so far we have a better away record then THE WHOLE OF LAST YEAR !!!!!

Here's this year compared to this time last year;

2009 - P: 7 W: 5 D: 0 L: 2 F: 164 A: 127 DIF: +37
2008 - P: 9 W: 2 D: 1 L: 6 F: 147 A: 213 DIF: -66

How anyone can say we haven't improved is beyond me, if it was just overperforming we wouldn't be better in EVERY department with 2 games to spare.

Personally I don't care if we play a boring brand of rugby if we win games, you don't get any extra points for winning by 50. But your going off the point here, we might not play champagne stuff which for some is frustrating but certainley won't be a bottom 3 side. We've had a couple of losses and despite what anyone says I think we have improved from last season, not a great deal by all means but there is improvement there.

I think people are just overreacting myself, we won't win every game but we won't lose every one either. Saying we will finish bottom 3 is a massive knee jerk reaction. Sure we won't win any silverware this year but did anyone seriousley expect that turnaround during one off season ? The team that nearly did achieve that has broken up and we are whether people like it or not in a rebuilding stage.

I don't agree that Cas are a poor side either, for me they will be a hard team for anyone to beat.

not even bothering to read all the recent posts because its pointless, what are you on we've lost 2 games, what a nutter, theres loads of games left... even leeds and saints have lost 2 you know.

I too am just a fan of way too many years to remember. I have seen highs and lows. My dad was a director for nearly 20 years and I sat with him while people shouted abuse at the board. FC won everything there was to win and people were still not satisfied. I remember one match when his cousin shouted abuse at him because we lost a match



So, I've heard it all and I'm sure I'll hear it all again. My advice, just to patronise you once again,

is to move on and enjoy every precious win along with every precious lung-full of air you draw - you don't know when either might be your last. The old fella who used to sit two seats away from me until recently is no longer with us, but he turned up until he physically couldn't. He never moaned about the team or coach and if anyone had the right I think it was him seeing as just attending was difficult.

Listen mate - you'll see what a bottom three team plays like at weekend. Hull are light years beyond that. Reading this from the outside, the sentiments are ridiculous. It is a very even competition this season and you are a stronh team but we are destined for the bottom! (Salford BTW)

In the space of a fortnight you've gone from being Mr Positive to being more pessimistic than me.

Thats a bit unfair on Cas mate,they are not doing too bad at the moment.

Cas are winning but apart from Salford, the rest of there winning results have been won by no more than 6 points I think. So there games could of gone either way. They are not killing games off, but I would expect them to kill teams off more than I would us.

What a pointless thread lol. So say for example we had those same matches in a different order so that we had lost those first 2 and then won the next 5? We would be in exatcly the same position points wise and everyone would be happy as Larry eh?

Its still 71.5% success rate for christs sake, better than some kickers.

I personally wouldn't say its because they "can't" kill games off, if you take Saints or Leeds and maybe Salford and Celtic out the picture I reckon all the other teams are pretty even.

Its good to see the days are going were all teams had to do some weeks is simply turn up, you have to be at your best every week now in SL.

Im still really poisitve mate, thats why ive refused to pick on any of the players etc, some have underperformed but are very much good enough. My perceived negativity is simply that i dont agree with the boring tactics and think we should have won the last 2 games. Some people need to stop seeing critiscim as negativity!!

They were there for the beating and our errors cost us the game.

We all move on and most of us keep coming back for more. Some of us (just to patronise you back) need to accept that paying fans are allowed to be critical of team selections and tactics when things arent going wrong and that its not personal and it definately isnt negative, its simply opinion!

All true but to put it into perspective our two loses were by 4 points and two points.
