Bad news if true about Sharp. Would hope, if he has gone, he's replaced with quality.

Not going to be Jodie Broughton (not that I believed it anyway), he has just rubbished the rumours to me and a few others on twitter.

Hope its not true, should be given a chance next season.

Would definitely need a replacement if true, I liked Sharp's work rate & wish him well whatever happens.
As a side note, last week bomber said we couldn't bring in anyone else till Obst had gone. However only 2 or 3 weeks ago he also said that we had just missed out on an Aussie who decided to stay in the NRL.
So surely we must have space on the cap regardless of what Obst does unless the Aussie was coming for nowt!

I don't think it's cap space we need from Obst, its his quota spot.

it's quite odd given that we had a squad rammed full of 2nd rowers not long ago!

Bomber definitely mentioned lack of cap space unless Obst goes ( although I do understand the quota spot is needed also).
So is there a player out there who has agreed terms but hasn't signed due to the cap being live now?
If so i wonder how long he'd wait before saying enough is enough I need to sort out my future.

Gentle may have seen enough of Lyne to believe he's ready, with Briscoe and Matthews backing up.

Really think we need to send Reece out on loan for a bit, no question he's too good for u20s but still looks a little out of sorts at superleague 1st team level.
Having said that I suppose another full preseason under his belt could bring him on wonders.

Reece isn't quite ready for week in week out super league,but tbh Sharp hasn't gone anywhere as yet.........If he actually does go?

It's strange because in the Nrl players like Folau and Yow Yeh weren't classed as ready, but their given a chance with realistic goals.

In sl if they don't play well we bring in a overseas player.

Same situation as Yeamo, he's done all right. But I agree, we need to have more faith in our youth.

Sharp is a very easy target but I have to be honest and say I don't rate the player.

I hope he stays too, i think he is a classy lad blamed for a ss poor sliding defence last year.
always grafts hard out of defence, always looks to take the ball up at least once in every siz and is fast to boot too..
he showed his potential against wigan away...
with a decent centre he will score bag fulls

Will Sharp has the potential to be a good winger. He's whole-hearted, he goes looking for work, especially from dummy-half, and he's got a decent amount of pace. He struggled last year because he didn't receive the correct coaching to rectify his defensive errors. He needed the full support of his coach and he didn't get that, in my opinion.

Absolutely. I'm hoping Peter Gentle can see the potential in him and get the best out of him.

and all of them, I think the man who will benefit most under him will be manu, he will change him into a try machine i hope , and wont run him into the ground every game week in week out

To get the best out of Manu he needs to be spelled during the game, unless we can manage to bring in another back rower i see Manu playing longer minutes thus reducing his impact, hopefully we can offload Obsy shortly to allow this to happen.
