I fully understand the point your trying to make its just complete bollox. I'll use a similar stupid scenario just for you. You turn upto your local pub only to find some selfish has booked it for a wedding reception and it's invite only. Are you going to demand entry because as a regular you technically own the pub?

Don't think you do understand it and again thanks for your grown up response. I can understand a pub closing for private events. It happens every week of the year, although alot of these places have specified function rooms. But would the landlord then try to charge me £5 to gain entry ? I don't believe he would, but hey that's just a stupid scenario isn't it?

So guess none on here went to Old Teafford when our club was there.
£2 to get in local pub for a drink of best Humber water and that was £3 a pint.

Think it's a fare price to pay , not though every pub gone out way to put it on .

You know you don't have to go right? By closing the pub and making it an all ticket event he has effectively made it a private event. If it stops you complaining like a little brat just assume the pub is closed for the evening. I've no idea why I've wasted my time with you for so long actually as I don't really care what you think.

And if the club did a beam back to KC and put it on and charged a tenner to watch you'd all be running down there with your inflatable Airlie Bird buying your Cider that costs £7 a pint

What a silly argument. If Sky put up your subscription because they'd "invested in their business" would you be a "whining w*nker" unless you quietly accepted that increase? If your gym bought a new piece of gear and decided to charge you an extra fiver to use it, are you a "whining w*nker" if you object to that? I believe you wasted your time, because you wanted to disrupt what had been prior to your intevention a fairly civilised discussion. As it happens after coming out with childish comments and a completely irrevelant counter argument, you have in fact made yourself look a little uneducated. HTH.

Let's be clear here: I (very cordially) expressed an opinion on the rights and wrongs of paying £5 to get into a pub to watch a game. You waded in and said I should "shut the feck up". Only then did I call you a halfwit - I felt that your response to my comments had betrayed you as such. If you can't join in a discussion without your first response to someone being "shut the feck up", there's little cause for surprise when that person labels you a halfwit, IMO.

Ok...shut the hell up then and,i then,responded with a reasoned debate about the said £5 charge and seem to have read a few discussions on here where you have waded in so maybe halfwit works both ways.

The problem I think you'll find is that some board users come on hear to express their views, in a sensible and civilised manner, the thread then gets hi jacked by people who seem to think they have the right to try to belittle people or indeed maybe bully to a certain extent. Usually the same people.
