Maybe he just hasn't got anything of note to say or is finding it difficult to come up with acceptable reasons as to why the club have stuck with Agar in light of performances and results. You can only put so much spin on things after all, so think silence is best way of avoiding the difficult questions. Hopefully he simply too busy scouring the world for a replacement head coach

Before I go any further, I am most definately in the camp of wanting a change of coach!

Realistically, how many times do you think we have been embarrased on the pitch this season? Last Friday, being nilled and at home against Wakefield at the one I would say we have been made to look less than average.

I appreciate the need for a new coach but exaggerating your point doesn't add weight to any situation.

I would have said been embarrassed once in a season would be more than enough, but to answer your point, I'd throw in 2 games against the dobbins, the embarrassing aftermath of the cas defeat and the loss against a massively understrength leeds team on our own pitch in the season opener

Losing a derby on away soil (cp or cardiff) is not an embarrasment.

Having a game dictated by a poor official against Cas, hardly an embarrasment.

Why do we have a good given right to beat any team? Leeds may have been without a few players, but the key difference is their squad players are far better then our squad players, even to the extend they are better than our first 17.

I'm sorry but in my opinion, Rule has overseen our rise to one of the most cash rich clubs in the league, with great merchandising and marketing departments,

say what you want about Agar, or the board,

But the fact is, that James Rule has done a great job at Hull FC and we are a better club for it.

Before criticizing, you should take a look at the websites, club shops, and professionalism of the other clubs in the league, not to mention bank balances. With respect to those areas - those areas which are actually Rule's remit - we are top of the league.

Rule does not play, coach, or pick the team - thats not what CEO's or owners are for - we are not KR

I may be a traditionalist, but a successful sports club is not successful because it has a nice website or good merchandise.

We may be cash-rich, but that also isn't the mark of a successful sports team.

All those things, in my view, should go to support the onfield performance, which is, after all, where the fan/customer interest (and development of the other issues) stems from.

And lets be honest, without the fans, there wouldn't be anyone to take advantage of the website, commercial activities or merchandising.

You miss the point completely. rule is a marketing man and has done a great job on that front, transforming the club. Unfortunately, this success is underpinned by needing a decent product on the pitch and without it the best website in the world, coupled with the greatest shop and merchandise will mean diddly squat.

The club need to start performing on the pitch and quickly or all of the great work done in the last 10 years will fall down around their ears.

rule's job is to oversee and manage every aspect of the club. he can't (and has never tried to my knowledge) wash his hands of the playing side just becuase he isn't the coach

He won't also have the power to sack Agar without full approval of the board, so what else can he do to alter on the field performance?

And the opposite end of the argument is also true - the best performances of the field wont mean anything without a solid back office

Without the the instruction of the board you mean. Although on the board, I don't imagine a non-shareholder has that much clout in the decision making process.

If he didn't have a hand or say in those decisions then he isn't doing the job of a CEO

The job title of CEO can carry many different responsibilities. Maybe coaching appointments have to be done by the board?

I'm sure they have to be ratified by the board of which he is part. the fact is he should be hammering on kath's door telling her she needs to sack agar or it's all going to come tumbling down

Technically he isnt on it , they have one for the people on the coal face and a proper one for the shareholders
