A councillor saying to a wealthy person, what have they done for East Hull



What exactly have the council done for East Hull for the last 30 years.

The more amazing thing is, the wealthy person concluding it was a good idea to give a 7 figure sum to a company which services less than 10 % of East Hull and then have the gumption to suggest that he is already helping out Hull FC by allowing us the use of the KC.

All this after an interview on Humberside, where he "didn't want to be seen taking sides"

Assuming that our (Hull FCs) deal to stay at the KC is watertight, and there is no reason to suspect that it isn't, or even that Allam wants us out then I can't see how this can be in any way a bad thing that the area around our ground is getting improved.

A tenant's only recourse should a landlord get awkward is through the courts, a likely long and messy process plus the situation would be untenable if we fell out with the KC owner. I'm guessing allam's pockets are deeper than Hull FC's

If Allam bought and owned the KC would he, as a business man want it stood empty for the best part of summer. I know I wouldn't if I were the owner.

Or, like we keep hearing from the football morons, would he want the pitch being warn out by all the naughty heavy rugby boys in a way that it affects the football being played on it so they can't reach the promise land of the Premier League where they will obviously get lots and lots of money and not get into financial problems?

(Despite the obvious fact that the pitch is always in better condition when the football has stopped being played on it, and always in worse condition after the rugby has stopped!).

Depends on what you define as getting awkward. We'd have to have a really crappy lease for him to make our position untenable either through eviction or punitive rent increase.

he is at the end of the day a businessman with a very direct reputation so all this about "i dont make money out of sport" is utter tosh. seems to me he is putting a lot of time and money into something he wont make any money from huh??

As for the KC I am utterly convinced that the agreements and contracts detail will be in place to prevent any harm coming to FC, AND i am convinced that there will be details in that agreement to cover eventualities such as this !!
