No mate i don't think so... you save 50% of a players salary UP to 50k. So to save the full 50k you would have to pay him 100k. If him and Yeaman next year were on 100k each, we'd still only save 50k, as its the maximum.

He is certainingly improving this season, his horrific injury and medical problem now seem to be drifting into the past.

Given that there is going to be a squeeze on SL players of every calibre looming due to the changes in the Ozzy cap. I can see some of our players going down under and less quality players coming over for the next few years. Perhaps even some of our suqad may like to go down under Houghton and Briscoe could well fancy their chances down under now. Would letting Rich Horne go when he comes at a reduced cost to the cap make sense now. I think he is worth another contract IF he continues like he is doing for the remainder of the season.

I really can't see long and horne being here next season. If they are then obst would find himself in the stands if everyone is fit with ellis behind obst in the pecking order. We're not bringing a hooker 1/2 way around teh world to sit in the stands

One of those three must be leaving, it would not make sense otherwise. Maybe Long will go into the coaching or player coaching?

I agree too, he is more important to the team than some of you think. I remember when we played rovers last year without long fitz and ogre and Horne stepped up and lead us to victory....not single handed before you all start moaning!

we need to be doing the bussiness this season, recruitemnt is pretty good and look in decent shape for next season as long as moa and ogre sign up but agar has to produce the results NOW

Just think what a decent coach could do with next season's squad

Fitness is the key word though. Long & Horne are fragile hence the need for lots of cover. Obst will always play more games in a season than Long for that reason alone.

After reading what Agar has to say about Fitz and what Fitz himself had to say on Humberside this morning i wouldn`t be surprised if he carried on for one more year but maybe back in the NRL.

Keep Horne and Fitz (as backrow or prop).

Long still unsure.

Then that will be our recruitment done IMO.

But maybe another English forward like Paul Johnson.
