| I think it will have a similar feel to the widnes game this one, blistering start from les cats and then a bit of a fightback from you guys. That's happened quite a lot this year down in perps and i expect it again.
I think if widnes scored again at 12 nil you would of lost that game IMO, but just about hung in (that excellent try saving tackle from micheals i think) and then bossed the rest of the game. I just can't see you getting away with such a slow start again.
2 scores in it after 25/30 mins, then you will win. More then that, i fear catalans will get a bit of a roll on and prove to much. There outside backs are decent enough to score points, so your forwards have a huge job today compared to playing against us and widnes.
Looking forward to it!

I agree, but this comment does demonstrate a change in attitude (not just by you Jake, but in general) of most fans over recent weeks.
It proves what a few wins can do for confidence not just for the players but the fans and entire club.
A few weeks ago this would have been a hammering waiting to happen.
Long may it continue, and I am optimistic about todays game too.

My opinion is a reflection on the way we're playing not particularly that we're winning. When we lost to saints I felt a lot better about the performance than the win over salford for instance. The fact we were poor and still only lost to the champions on goal kicks was a good indicator of the improvements we've made. overall, the standard of play in the comp currently is pretty average IMO so if we can keep playing at the current level then I don't think we need to fear anyone. Similarly, a slight dip in form could easily see us losing to wakey.
I thought that the game last night, whilst tough and competitive, was a really low quality game, particularly when you compare them to games 5 or 10 years ago. The standards have really slipped but that gives everyone an opportunity.
Despite what people think, I'm not negative for the sake of it, I just tell it as I see it and up until a few weeks ago it wasn't really very good

| It will be tough as they have only lost once at home this season but we could well be the second. Whatever the result I'm always nervous about picking up injuries against them and now is not the time to be losing key players.

I agree with all of it.
I wanted to see the back of Radford early doors, and a lot of that was the style of rugby although the defeat at home to KR was about as bad as I've seen in recent years (that and losing 7-0 to Widnes at home)
I guess it's all the highs and lows of being a fan, some will stay positive regardless (IAKOW) and some other (me) vent their spleen.
Actually I would suggest you enjoy the good times more after you have had a right good moan about the bad times!!

| I'm not expecting a win tonight tbh , it's a hard place to go and as has been said only 1 loss all season says it all . I wouldn't be shock if we were to turn them over either if we get off to a good start , seen a few pics and it looks like the fans have turned in numbers too .... Coyh

| I personally wouldn't pick Rankin over Shaul .
Shaul offers much more in attack and links well off the shoulder of our forwards .

| Don't particularly think Rankin should lose the full back spot though.
Scored one and made an excellent last ditch try saving tackle in the first half.

| I just don't feel as confident with Rankin as Shaul, a few times they kicked and he let it bounce, Shaul would have taken it on the full and gained us extra metres
We lacked pace in the backs on Saturday, a few times we tried the early kick, but didn't have the pace to challenge for it, more pace could gave turned those 2nd half breaks into try's.
I'd look at getting Shaul, Lineham and Naughton in the team for this weekend.

I know you'll find holes in Rankin Dave.
Just think it'd be harsh to drop him.

Our centres should be Talanoa and Sa
Sa should partner Lineham and Talanoa Naughton or Michaels.
But that means dropping Yeaman but Radford wont.
Feel sorry for any winger having Yeaman as a centre. No wonder Briscoe left

| They way was breaking through with mini & talanoa I think shaul would have backed up more, but fair play to rankin he supported westy well, his game is more pivotal but shaul always seems to be in the right place when we break. I'm hoping shaul is in this week for when we break those whinos down the middle & he's on the end of about 4 tries.

Whilst the differential between Yeaman and X player at centre isn't that great it still has a detrimental effect on overall performance and in tight games it's enough of a difference to lose a game where you might have won.
I'm not really sure what Radford sees that benefits us that way because yet again Yeaman showed he can't pass, and yet again Houghton looked knackered, why isn't he being spelled?

| When Westerman plays we look better with Shaul. Westy plays as a pivot which pushes Sneyd and Pryce wider at times, so Rankin has little space to work in. 5 pivots (including DH) is too many.

If we're going from the Rovers game at Easter he played in the wins against Saints & Widnes, we won 4 (including the Sheffield game) and lost two, while he was out injured. We've won 2 from 3 since he's been back.
