When have the RFL ever announced the disciplinary list straight after a game? You'll hear about it when they announce the list, same as every week. Try not to be too paranoid. I'm assuming Hull will have requested that the incident be referred?

In general, I will say what I always say in these cases. If a player is guilty of a deliberate gouge, 4-8 weeks is totally inadequate as a ban. 15-20 would be more like it. As it is, the RFL will have to follow the precedent that they set with Hock and if Ablett's guilty he'll get 4-5 matches. It will probably take somebody losing the site in an eye to change this.

Manu will get written to for appearance's sake for retaliating, but there it will end, given the apparent provocation.

That's when the panel sit (as & when required). The review panel should be working today, and I'd expect a list to be out later this afternoon. Under normal circumstances, Ablett's name would be there on a grade D charge. However, he was wearing a Leeds shirt at the time, so immunity from prosecution is likely.

I'll wait until I see the detailed judgement before venting my spleen. There is the off-chance that the footage supplied to the video panel didn't include an angle that showed the act clearly enough, as I don't think they're allowed to use Sky footage and rely on the club's camera feed only.

That, in itself, is fooking ridiculous. The Sky footage is evidence - usually the best evidence - and shouldn't be excluded.
