Widnes is a cracking set up, in many way better than over half of the current SL, a rugby looney area and deserve their chance, well done to everyone concerned

A looney area maybe. I well remember a running riot between fans there after a night match in the mid 80's

Good to see Widnes back in after missing out 3 years ago. I guess they can now plan for their SL season straight away...big advantage as I don't recall in years gone by clubs given the green light this early on, gives them plenty of time to plan for their 2012 recruitment.

Yes I appreciate the reasons why Widnes know now. I guess what I was getting at is they have far more time to prepare than say a promoted team, who would finish in September and then start Super League the following February.

I just hope they tap up Washy and Dowes.

They have a bigger fanbase than Wakey/Crusaders/Quins for starters. Admittedly not as good at present as it used to be but as they come into super league you will get those coming back much like we did and you did.

They are now more financially secure than they used to be and are probably in a much better financial position that a lot of SL clubs.

Maybe in the championship they are, not sure how the situation will progress once they are in SL.

Im not at all against Widnes getting in but I was hoping Fax got their chance, hopefully next time round.

Crusaders are building from nothing. In 12 months it could be argued they have worked miracles. I admit that going into administration will not help their cause in the slightest and if Halifax come in then they must be favs to go out after Wakey.
London; The arguements are soooo boring now. Again I can't think at this moment why they don't travel in their thousands like all the rest of the SL clubs and their fans.

The work that it taking place down here in schools is amazing and that is starting to manifest itself in the Quins squad. A squad that whilst very thin on paper is performing reasonably well this season.

As has been said if any team in SL is reliant on away support to boost its coffers then they are not deserving of a place in the competition. Its about time one or two in Hull got off their high horses about the Hull clubs taking more fans away with them. Its a lame arguement which frankly makes the fans of both clubs look pathetic.

As for Widnes I hope they make a good fist of it next year and build back to the dizzy hights of the 70 and 80s when they were a joy to watch. I also believe Fax have done everything required of them and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them included. The strides being taken there to progress the club would be seriously dented if they are refused for another 3 years. I think they are unfortunate as the RFL made an announcement far too early that at least one club would be promoted. They should have kept quiet and watched how things progressed and had the balls to announce them today.

Wakefield did this when they 1st came into SL and they still havent done owt about it and have nearly gone t1ts up twice...they can go for me as well as the welsh.
