Don't think gentle will be sacked. Pearson might just rate his performance after first quarter of next season and get rid if necessary. I do believe that our recruitment has been poor in the past. If you look at our team not who is good enough to get into any other top 5 team? The problem is most clueless fans think we should definitely top 4. I think a decent clear out is still needed and we need more quality. We have too much depth and not a decent blend of quality and youngsters.

Then what have to go through another two years of transition, Rome wasn't built in a day we have some of the best youth prospects. Gentle is transforming the team would you go back 3 years to the state of the club then, he has brought on b crooks, lineham,shaul,green etc. If agar had stayed this lot would have been playing amateur rugby so give the bloke a chance

Absolutely right. Too many on here want change every 5 minutes. We've got to stick with PG, or else we're just going backwards and will never have the stability that's needed. I trust Adam to do whatever is best for the club.

After the disappointment of another season going down like others in the past, I still think we have to give him one more season to prove his worth, the likes of Miller need a good pre season and our young stars Lineham and Ben Crooks will be a year older and better. Changing the Coach every other season in the end gets us no where.

But not enough quality. For us to be a top team is rather have a couple of quality players that can make a difference rather than 4 players plus that don't get enough game time because they are not upto scratch. We have too many first teamers not playing enough rugby. Wigan and co have quality players and the reserve players tend to be young kids from the academies. Out of our full 17 I can only think of 4 players that are top 4 quality. Fans expect us to aim for that but we need to dramastically improve.

There is enough strength in depth, and enough quality on paper to suggest we are capable of a top 3/4 place. The fact's of it are Gentle has lost the dressing room, and he can't coach offence. If he had the respect of the team, and could coach offence then there is enough there for me to suggest we should be winning trophies.

Throw someone in like Shaun Wane, or Brian McDermott and I'm certain we'd be up there with the best.

That's because we can't attract enough "quality" players and we have a big gap of home grown players due to under funding.

That's why we had to sign players like Pitts and Johnson.

Heard more stories about the players and the 'fun' they have when theyre out on the tiles only was shocked to hear that lots of the shaningans where going on in front of our assistant coach who did nothing to stop it and this is from two publicans.

When are they out though and what the rule is regarding drinking before and after matches?

Know a few of them play golf on springhead and after a defeat they used to laugh and joke but think they got bolloxed or something as they are a lot more serious now after a defeat.

So you want to change the coach and what happens if the replacement fails, do we then change him and so on and so on. We need some stability or we'll never get things right. Ask Man Utd fans what would have happened to their club if Fergie had been shown the door early on.

I say the same thing every time our coach supposedly looses the dressing room, tell the players to get on with it or they are out the door. It's not upto the players to decide who the coach should be it's there job to implement whatever game plan the coach comes up with.

Our problems stem from never employing,a proven Head Coach

If we'd have solid playing structures in place,the Head Coach leaves,then the Assistant continues with the the same style. EG Anderson & Wane.

We've never been in this situation,Kear left no attack structure in place,then Agar left, again no attack structure.

Wigan tried to sign Bellamy, he suggested they go for Maguire, they trusted his judgement, it was a gamble, luckily it worked.

Wests Tigers play off the cuff RL,mainly relying on Marshall, as their is no structure,they will be no consistency,they will be either brilliant or poor. - sound familiar?

Where do we go from here? Stick with Gentle? - if we did, I cant see anything changing, if he cant gel a team together after 2 seasons,when he is going to do it? - Personally I cant see it.

Options, I'd try to get a guy who has/can gel a team together, like Brian Smith, maybe he doesnt need the hassle, or headhunt a coach who is proven.

If no experienced coach, do a Wigan, ask Bellamy for a recommendation, maybe another unknown from the Storm stable.

Well that's wonderful. On the evidence of the last few years very unlikely, which is why I believe PG should be given more time.

Only took Brown & Maguire 3 months, at Hudds & Wigan ,to see a marked difference in their team ethic,in attack & defence.they saw their basic core skills were not good enough & improved them.

I,d say Peter Sharp succeeded to some extent He took us on a long unbeaten run and got us to a gf, although one of his failings was keeping Agar and not bringing in his own man.

Did Gentle get a choice who his assistants were when he came in or was he just told that they'd be Radford & Hay? Not saying he never or that it would make things better just honestly can't remember reading anything about it.

It says in Lee Radfords profile in the 2013 guide that he accepted the job to be Peter Gentles assistant so I assume it was the same for Andy Hay

If that's true then it alone is enough to rule him out of the Head Coach's job IMO.
