If its Horne and Long at half backs we have Tansey (who I think did really well there) Washy (who was man of the match at Wigan) and this new guy as half back cover!

Going slightly OT, there is a quote in RLW from Tommy Martyn about Sean Long signing for us:

"One thing he wanted to be sure about was that Richard Agar was still going to be around next season."

Not as Long as Horne is there IMO, but he can do no wrong apparantly. Don't get me wrong he's a decent player and aq fantastic servent to the club, but if we want to go to the next level.......

i'm going to give horne the next season. with long in the side to do the organising it may free him up to concentrate more on running at defences and supporting others - his 2 main strengths in my opinion

I think he is a higher class of utility then we have had for a few years but saying that I have always been more impressed with him playing at loose forward.

If he is in to play then I think it puts a lot of pressure of Yeamon, Hall has been a revelation since coming back from Widnes and our best attacking player by far.

yeamo may end up moving into the second row like he was supposed to do a few seasons ago. his game (doesn't pass) is certainly more suited to playing in the second row

When was he supposed to do this? The only mention about Yeaman and the back row have been on here over the years, same with Senior at Leeds. People seek to have an obsession about moving centre into the back row.

Yeaman would not make a good second row atm, maybe further down the line, for now his best position is centre and both him and Hall should be our starting centres for next season.

IIRC he asked McCrae to start there a few seasons back and he did (for a pre-season friendly) but had to revert to the centres because of injury to Richie Barnett?

Thats at least 5 years ago now though. For me he will always be a centre. He's been an international centre but I don't think he has the potential to be an international second row.
