He was one of the form props in the comp last season until he injured his knee.

Thought it might be a 1 year deal. If we can bring in a few more middles to complement him we can hopefully get the best out of him again. He's had to do a lot of heavy lifting the last few seasons.

Stick him in the back row and sign a big prop.

He is not mobile enough for a second row.
he looked ok for Samoa but that was more to do with the quality of players he had around him

Looked much better at prop on Sunday for me. We looked a lot better with him starting and Satae coming off the bench.

Led to believe that Satae is in talks to extend his contract too.

All a matter of individual taste, but if TS is happy to keep him, that will do for me.

If TS wants him to stay, that’s good enough for me.
Hopefully get him a bit of help next season.

As ever we don't know the whole story, injuries/contracts etc but fully agree him & Satae have been doing the heavy lifting for too long, hopefully they get some new buddies to share the workload.

Obviously TS sees something in Ligi Sao when dealing with him every day on training so I’ll back his judgement.
Admittedly his discipline has been and is an issue but how much of it is caused through frustration? On Sunday he was up there as one of the top performers and from the kick off he was aggressive in a controlled manner and took it to Huddersfield. I would imagine his attitude in and around the club snd in training will likely be a factor to his extension along with the limited pool of quality that’s available.
Hopefully with some good recruitment with some quality signings in certain areas will also help bring out better from Sao.

Unfortunately I think the Takairangi ship has sailed.

Uncle Tony would like to take Kai O'Donnell from Leigh. If we have any sense, you've no chance.

Smart timing from the club, not 100% sure on Sao, good player on his day, but not let himself down with his discipline. Depends on who else we bring in.

SKD is a good player, not sure we need a centre though, would seem a waste of a quota spot.

Played well against us, but that isn't saying too much this season.

He's been one of Leighs best this season. Can see him ending up at Wigan if he moves, even though he's an aussie Wane has dangled an England call up.

Really pleased with Soa signing and will help in resigning Sataee which I think is vital. Dont think we need any wingers but if we do Tindall from Leeds and Kershaw from Wakey could come relatively cheap. Props come 2nd rowers which are our must signings Jai Whitbread Keloi Tanginua,Langi and maybe Jay Pitts. Hope we have got over whatever was causing the problems this season and finish with a bang. Inspite of whats happened I think we stared the season with a bloody good squad and I was expecting at least top 6 and even top 4 (maybe dreaming)

Agree about the wingers, we could do with one, but not a priority

No way should be using a quota spot on Langi, if we keep Satae and Sao, that leaves us with only two non fed spots, I'd hope for better than Whitbread, Tanginoa is a good player, but seems very injury prone. Pitts is very average.

Me too, but signing a backrower would make more sense than a , unless Carlos would move to the backrow.

Real shame it looks like we are losing Savelio IMO.
